Newbie at Pin Trading

We are going to wdw dring dec. free dining. We have never done the pin trading before and would like to try it. Afriend suggested buying a lot of 20 pins from ebay to start with. Is this a good idea?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

actually you are doing good with ebay buying the pins there, that is how i do it when i go to Disney, I just buy some random pins from ebay and then take them to the parks and start my tradin! Its actually better that way because you will get some pins that you dont like, like I did and I traded them just 3 weeks ago! I got alot of nice pins too, Just go up to any cast member and ask them to show you their pins and they have to give you the one you pick, its easy and simple, you will see! Have Fun Pin Tradin!

Just make sure that the pins are actual Disney pins. The seller should state that somewhere on the auction. You can't trade if they're not Disney.

I got to eBay before every trip and get a bunch for my DD6. (And still end up buying a ton in WDW!)

Be forewarned: it can become addicting!!!
