Disney Mania Question # 13

Okay you are giving touring advice to friends that have never been to Walt Disney World. They tell you that they have only enough time to visit either Future World or Word Showcase while in EPCOT but not both, which area do you tell them they should visit?

knowing my friends, any excuse to tour and drink around the world is a plus.

I like both, but went with WS as an adult. For kids, FW is better. Both are necessary for EPCOT to be a full day park.

I love EPCOT in general, and LOVE both, but if I had to recommend to a friend...with no kids...I would have to go with World Showcase :thumbsup:

Well, I'd bum around Future world until the World Showcase opened up (or get on one of the Segway tours for $$), then wander the World Showcase, then finish up with the FastPass delights I've gotten earlier in the day ... Soarin, Test Track (for that 64MPH banked track thrill), or even the ride through the Land. If they did away with one of them, they'd have to keep the World Showcase. It's all we ever get to see of something approaching a World's Fair any more.

It really would depend on which friend was asking me. For some, it would be World Showcase. For othes, it would be Future World.

Future World is wonderful but I think the World Showcase gets the nod. Its so fun traveling around the world, meeting people from the countries, buying stuff....its great!

I like Future World better but there's a little less to do. So if I only had to pick one to entertain myself, I would probably pick WS.

Though if it were a friend asking, I would just describe both and let them choose. The differences between the two are simple to explain!

If I had to only do one part ... FW with out a doubt! How can you enter Epcot and not do Spaceship Earth? It unimaginable to me!

I think if it's your first time visiting you have to do SE, Soarin', and Test Track. It wouldn't be good advice to skip those! ;)

I know i'm one of the minorities...but I LOVE Future World! The fountain, the landscaping, the architecture, the rides, the themeing, the background music...I love all of it!:D

I voted world showcase, but a lot would depend on the person you were talking to. If they were a ride oriented person, then you would have to tell them Future World.

I'd recommend World Showcase, I just love wondering thru it, eating a little, drinking a little, shopping a little.

I like FW just for the rides- can't beat TT and Soaring. I love those two rides.

World Showcase for my friends. Future World has lines and stress levels seem to be much greater there. WS is much more relaxing and people there seem to enjoy themseves more. Plus there is so much more/better food & drink there, too.

Love 'em both, but I'd definitely recommend Future World. I can live without the countries if I absolutely have to, but I wouldn't survive a visit to the Mouse without riding SE.:thumbsup:
