Does anyone know the dates of the Disney World 2010 marathon. Can you direct me to any place where I can get more information about the 2010 event? Not sure if I am posting this thread under the correct topic so please feel free to move to another place on the boards if need be. Thanks :mickey:

Marathon weekend is normally the second weekend of January. I'm not sure if they've announced the dates for 2010 yet or not though. Here's the information for 2009 (http://disneyworldsports.disney.go.com/dwws/en_US/marathon/listing?name=MarathonEventListingPage).

Thank you much. We are starting the planning for the 2010 marathon weekend. This information is helpful. :mickey:

Over the past few years, registration for next years' marathon and 1/2 marathon began the day after the event(s).

That would mean that IF Disney was to keep up with past traditions, registration for the 2010 marathon would begin on Monday, January 12, 2009.

Whoa boy!! I am glad I read this! Thanks for the head's up. I will be on the alert for 1/12/09There are several family and friends of mine who want to participate in the 2010 event. I guess they will have to decide sooner rather than later. Thanks again :mickey:

If they are running the marathon they don't have to rush to sign up right away. That doesn't fill up for at least 6 or 7 months. However, the half marathon and Goofy challenge do fill up rather quickly so keep a closer eye on those if that is what you are interested in.

Thanks Dan - This is good to know. I think our family is looking at the half marathon and the
5K family fun run. :mickey:
