Weekends at F&W Festival - better timing options?

I will be at WDW next weekend, and will want to spend some time at the F&W festival. (While I will be able to visit on my own on a weekday, when the crowds are lighter, my sister, who lives in Orlando, will be with me on the weekend, and will want to hit some of the festival, too.) For the weekend, which would be the better choices among our options - mid-afternoon and evening Friday, Saturday morning (at WS opening), or Sunday morning?

1) Friday is better than Saturday and Sunday.
2) I still prefer Mon-Thu.
3) Unfortunately, wife HAS TO see Voo Doo Daddy.
4) And they play tomorrow (Friday) night.

Thanks for the advice. I was just reading reports on another site that report few lines at the food booths during nighttime Extra Magic Hours, and I see that there will be Extra Magic Hours that Friday night, so that really does sound like the best choice!

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was AWESOME!!!!

It was amazing. I simply could have died and been happy. I saw the first two shows, had to miss the third due to having to be at work by 8:24.

Oh man, the best part of my day today hands down.

1) I agree.
2) The wife likes them, but this was my first experience.
3) We like "swing", "big band" and "boogie-woogie".
4) These guys were really great for nine guys - sounded like more.

NOTE: We planned upon just doing the 5:15pm show, but stayed for the next show.
