I was just wondering how everyone came up with their user name. Some of them are obvious. Mine is disneymom15-
:mjump:I love disney, I'm mom to Abbie, was born on the 15th.

I use my initials. SBE. And the short version of my husband's nickname for me (and also one of my favorite characters), Tigger.

AwPhooey
09-22-2008, 03:39 PM
My favorite traditional Disney character is Donald Duck (overall, my favorite is Figment), so I went with his famous phrase, Aw Phooey.

RedSoxFan

I think mine is obvious --- Red Sox are my obsession!! Already dreading that the baseball season will be over soon.

My kids initials...:mickey:

Mine is my eBay name. I was at work on a night shift and in a hurry to bid on something. I hadn't registered yet and needed a user name so I used my work password - kakn are the first 2 initials for my first and last name but unfortunately, I messed up the number sequence so it doesn't mean anything!

I am a big Haunted Mansion fan, and am doombuggy all over the internet....

I am "mommy" to "3" children whose names all begin with "A"...nuff said...:D

pixiesmimi
09-22-2008, 05:15 PM
My 6 grandchildren call me Mimi and both of my granddaughters at the time were small and thought they were Tinkerbelle and that just came to my mind thus pixiesmimi. I'm sure my grandsons don't want to be referred to as pixies so I really need to come up with a different name. :D

Ed

Mine stems from my oldest grandson. We took him to WDW when he was just starting to talk, and every time he saw my favorite character, Tigger, he would point and yell out "TiggTigg". :tigger:

I added the "5" as a nod to my five grandkids at the time. Now, I'm up to eight! And since that grandson is now almost 13 and speaks quite clearly, I guess I need to change my name to Tigger8. ;)

Mine comes from my birth year, and the fact that I am a goofball in general. My friends and family know that most of the time, I can make them laugh, even when I am not trying to. So, that's me, Goofygirl64!:joy:

MushuGrl
09-22-2008, 05:37 PM
Mulan is one of my fav films, and Mushu is one of my favorite characters!

Boojum
09-22-2008, 05:58 PM
One of my favorite poems is "The Hunting of the Snark" by Lewis Carroll.

There is a creature in this poem called a "boojum," and I've always just loved the way the word sounds.

Got my English degree from Auburn--hence the avatar!

Mine is my name, plus my birthday (7/19/85). I know, it's really original.

thrillme
09-22-2008, 07:49 PM
I was a "lurker" for a long time. Never wrote in just read and "lurked".

One day there was a discussion about wanting more "family" rides and less "thrill rides". Somebody even mentioned there shouldn't be thrill rides.:jaw:

I LOVE THRILL RIDES

I guess it put me over the top. So I stepped in to defend my "beloved" thrill rides. I thought of several names but they were all taken...I had to comment...I just HAD to say something in their defense...Hence..."Thrillme" was born.:coaster:

justice11

mine is for one of my granddaughters who at the time was 11, thus justice11

dolphinmickey9170
09-22-2008, 09:27 PM
For me, I have always used mickey9170, on everything I can think of. But when I tried to use it here, it stated it was already taken, although, I have never seen and cannot find it being used in any search.

Anywhooooo, so the mickey (obvious) plus my DOB, 09/01/1970, and I love dolphins (not the Miami kind, go Patriots!!).

And to think, I thought this was your anniversary.:blush:Actually, that's not so far off! My anniversary would be 72493 - when I've used that as my password at work, it had to be 4 numbers so I dropped the 9 and used 7243 but somehow I had a blonde moment when I registered on eBay and now I'm stuck with it.

I just randomly picked it when sigining up for Intercot and have used it for many other usernames for other things since.

I think it popped into my head that one day because that was the name of the perfume I used to wear, very random. :mickey:

alphamommy
09-23-2008, 08:38 AM
When I was pregnant, I joined a mommy website. I was trying to come up with a user name, and asked DH's opinion. He came up with "alphamommy", and it's stuck ever since. I use it just about everywhere.

Well, I'm from Mississippi and just a little crazy about Disney:blush:

Disney Doll
09-23-2008, 01:14 PM
Disney because I love Disney and doll because it reminds me of the 1940's (like guys and dolls). I love classic, vintage mickey from the 30's and 40's. I actually had a hard time thinking of what to use, but I figured I could live with this one.

After my favorite hockey player - Matthew Barnaby.

Even named my son Matthew.
I wanted to name him Nomar after my favorite baseball player, but my wife was not having it. ;)

He's awsome! I loved watching him on the Rangers.

biodtl
09-23-2008, 08:47 PM
I just used the same username I used on a couple of non-disney forums. biodtl is an acronym for a Grateful Dead song - beat it on down the line.

When I first started using it, it never occurred to me that it was unpronouncable until I met some folks from one of those forums and they asked how to say it - in my head, I always thought of it spelled out.

I have since changed everything else to another GD reference (sugarmag), but I can't do that here, so biodtl it is.

mine is for my 3 children that all start with H's. Hans, Heidi and Holly. :o)
My avatar is the 3 H's at the Poly.

I had a cat, Mr Garibaldi, who died suddenly at the age of 3. :(

SpecJoe Magic
09-24-2008, 02:16 AM
I put a lot of thought into my user name. I wanted to incorporate my real name into something Disney. My real first name is Joseph, but most people call me Joe. It occurred to me that the "tro" in Spectro Magic rhymes with Joe. Hence, my user name is SpecJoe Magic, and I believe it has a nice ring to it when said aloud. As a bonus, I'm a big fan of the Spectro Magic parade, so the user name makes good sense in every way. :)

DrivingSideways
09-26-2008, 01:14 AM
"Driving Sideways" was my favorite song at the time I registered; I still love it, but should have thought long term! lol

A more accurate name for me these days would be "That Crazy Cat Lady" or something similar. :secret:

trennedy
09-26-2008, 09:30 PM
Mine is a combination of my two children's names. Trenton and Kennedy

Pop Centurion
09-27-2008, 02:23 AM
Mine came from when I played basketball in my HS gym class. I was only 5' 8" and the guy who picked me didn't know my name so he called me Shorty. It wasn't mean to be disrespectful and he kept calling me that and it stuck ever since.

pjbs35a
09-27-2008, 07:43 AM
pjbs35a: My undercover name while I was a double secret agent for Her Majesty's Secret Service and the CIA. I can't say any more than that. :spy:

AHOTE
09-27-2008, 04:45 PM
Ahote is a Hopi Indian name. It means "restless one". :bolt: Many years ago a teacher used it to describe my demeanor while in her class. As a result I'll never forget Edna McKnight or the lessons she taught me. :teach:

TikiGoddess
09-27-2008, 08:57 PM
When I signed up for Intercot, DH and I had just come back from a trip to the World that included the new Tiki Room show. It's always been a favorite of mine since I was a kid, and I loved the introduction of the Tiki Goddess. Thus the name.

Plus, I AM a goddess. :D

TikiG

pianobabe
09-27-2008, 09:12 PM
My brother actually came up with pianobabe for me. He was helping me set up an email account and everything we tried had already been taken. This came as a "last resort" and kind of stuck. I use it different places, although it may be with a slight alteration.

What a fun post it's neat to hear how everyone came up with their names. Mine is along the obvious lines as well,.. I do hair!:stir:

Mad About Mickey
09-27-2008, 09:17 PM
Ours is pretty obvious, this family is absolutely Mad About Mickey :mickey:.

Figaro
09-28-2008, 03:08 AM
<<off topic... Mad About Mickey, I'm glad I saw your avatar!! I didn't know we had a fireman mickey! I've been looking for one for a while now!>>

I'm not quite sure where I thought up my user name. I do love animals, and I thought of Figaro in the sign up process, so Figaro I am! Figaro also happens to be one of my favorites... :D

Minnie Imagineer
09-28-2008, 10:15 AM
I have wanted to be an imagineer since I was 5 (and I going to college for it fall 09!) and my family calls me 'future imagineer' or 'mini imagineer'. I stuck with the mini but made it a little more disney!
