Starting to second guess my decision to use 2 credits for Hoop De Doo... Friends of ours went with a large group(19 of them) and they had the time of their lives. It will just be myself and my two girls, 6 and 8. Just not sure if I should do CP dinner and Ohana breakfast instead... they do love the characters. I already have Chef Mickey's and Princess character meals though......

so will we have as great a time just a small group???? and is it worth taking up half our day??(we have 5pm show tickets) thanks.

First off, I'm a HUGE fan of the hoop Dee Doo, I go at least once every trip, often twice.

I don't think it's a bad choice for a great meal, however I do agree that it's not a good choice for using DDP credits on. You are much better off paying OOP and using those two credits for something else.

I do think you will enjoy the show, usually it's just me and my better 1/2. We did go with a large group for our wedding and had just as much fun. It's a rip roaring good time, worth the price, but not worth using two credits. You can get a much better value out of those two credits than using them for the HDD.

HDDR is a blast no matter how many people go. It has been a while for me, but adults truly enjoy it. I am not sure about kids because it was DW and my honeymoon. So, I didn't pay too much attention to the kids. If you have never been, then try the experience as long as it is affordable. Even if it is an additional $100, when will you be able to get back to try it again? You can look at ways to save the $100 when you get home. Another thought, the HDDR has been going on since I can remember. I was there is 1971 when I was 1, but I remember it there in the 70s when I got older.

We went to HDDR last week and it was awesome!! I thought it was well worth the two DDP credits. We had myself and DH, my mom and three kids. The kids absolutely loved it. We ended up at the very front table. We were celebrating my son's 5th birthday and the ladies kept coming over and talking to him. Then one of the characters starting making fun of my laugh which only made me laugh harder. It is just a great time and the food was awesome!!! (don't forget the free beer and sangria too!!)

Also, the tip is included!!

Have fun!

We love HDD! We've been 3 times, as a couple, as a family, and as an extended family with grandma.

If you haven't been, it really is a must-do. The food is good and the show is super-funny, you and the girls will love it.

I would definitely go. The show is great for all ages, and the food was excellent. Thanks to my DH, we definitely got our money's worth just from the beer. It was funny...they wouldn't just bring a glass, or fill up his beer....they kept bringing pitchers over and setting them in front of him. Needless to say, he thought he'd died and went to heaven. Be sure to do some sightseeing around Ft. Wilderness after the show, and catch the electric light water parade on the lake. :D:D

YOU'LL LOVE IT. Did it with my 3 kids. 8,7,5.

If they can stay up late enough, book the 7:00 pm. show and then take the ferry(walking distance) to MK for the parade and fireworks.

Starting to second guess my decision to use 2 credits for Hoop De Doo...

1) It's a good show, but if you do HDDR, pay OOP.
2) It is a bad value to use DDP coupons.
3) If you pay for DDP,
. . . never use DDP for any breakfast
. . . never use DDP for any character meal
. . . never use DDP for any dinner show
. . . never use DDP for any lunch under $30 per person (entree & dessert)
. . . never use DDP for any signature dining under $63 per person (entree & dessert)

NOTE: Disney loves to sell DDP because most people lose money on it. Disney does not give away things for free or that cost money. Like a casino - you don't think they build those monster edifices on paying money to winning guests, do you?

I think we will keep it.. it is something we haven't done before. We did to a carriage ride in fort wilderness and the kids did want to look around a bit more that night.. so will do that too. We took my neice a couple years ago before she passed and disney upgraded us to a magic kingdom view at the Contemporary(from a wing room) and we have always wanted to go back to the 4th floor there and see the fireworks again... the same view we had from our room.... so think we will do that too as it is MVMCP night, so will catch those there...

thanks!

My Wife and I would never miss a chance to see the show. Between the show and staff its one fun night and well worth the points. Much more fun than a boring old sit down dinner. I think the kids will love it.

We will be there 12-19 :)
