Disney Mania Question #1

Okay here is the first question in an uncertain number of Disney World vacation questions. They will range everywhere from vacation planning and touring styles to preferred shows and rides and just about everything inbetween. Every 5 or 10 questions (depending on the amount of feedback each poll gets) I will post a summation thread of the polls including which choice won and include some interesting comments from Intercot posters. I hope everyone enjoys the polls. They are just for fun as we all seem to enjoy them. I will try to post one question a day for most of the week and post the summation over the weekend.

I hope everyone as as much fun with this as I do with everyone else's!!!

Which Magic Kingdom "land" is your favorite???

While I used to work in Tomorrowland and loved it, I had to vote for Adventureland...just love the theme, music and of course POTC!!

I had to go with Adventureland. POTC, JC and the Tiki room (I know most people don't like it, but I do). It's always my first land to hit at MK.:mickey:

I am voting under protest. I waned to pick Toontown. I love the houses and the fact i can let the chldren play while I rest my feet.

Not a land only because it does not have the word "land" in it but it is just as big as the others. But, ok I see your point...Adventureland;)

Thought this would be easy when I first looked at it but then, I liked things in all the lands. Finally because of Splash & Big Thunder went with Frontierland by just a little bit.

I thought it would be a tough one when you break down the actual attractions in each of the "lands" it isn't so easy. At least I thought so.

I had to vote for Fantasyland because of the memories I have of DD on her first trip this past year. With a 2 year old this is where we spent the most time on our trip in March.

She loved Dumbo and I have pictures of her playing in the Pooh playground with the biggest smile ever on her face!

I always go back and forth between Frontierland and Tomorrowland when this question is asked. I chose Frontierland this time, but if I were to answer this question again in the future, I might vote for Tomorrowland. :goodbad:

Tomorrowland got my vote because it has great Disney attractions of the past (TTA and Astro Orbiters), the present (Buzz Lightyear and Monsters Inc Laugh Factory), an iconic Disney classic (Space Mountain) and a little bit of Walt himself (Carousel of Progress).

At first I was debating between Frontierland and Adventureland and decided on Frontierland for BTMRR and Splash. Then I realized I hadn't considered Fantasyland and had to go with it for the memories. Plus I still love Peter Pan, IASW, Mickey's Philharmagic, Pooh, and of course the teacups. It is so magical and always the first place we hit!

Great question!! This was so hard!! I was so ready to just click on Adventureland or Frontierland ... because they have the best rides ... but Fantasyland!

Fantasyland is just that a fantasy. A Disney Fantasy!! IASW, Mickey Philharmagic, Pooh, Snow White, Peter Pan, I mean come on ... where else can you escape into so many different dreams. It's not just for little kids, but the big kids too! :thumbsup:

This was tough! I love different parts of them. But I did end up choosing Fantasyland. Thare's just so many rides there. But I still love Buzz Lightyear ride!

I have to agree with the protest, Liberty Square and Toontown should be counted. Mainstreet USA as well...perhaps another post :)

I went with Frontierland...it was a hard choice though. Adventureland is a close second. I just love the atmosphere of Frontierland the best... At night sometimes I'll sit on the rockingchairs by the river that is near BTMR...it is so cozy and relaxing, and I'll hear the wolf howling at HM. Love it!!!! :mickey:

While I do absolutely love the design of Tomorrowland (could spend ages just sitting there people watching), it lacks ride elements that would keep me coming back...soooo I went with Adventure Land. :pirate:


Side Note: I do LOVE Space Mt., People Mover, and CoP but that is it for rides and whenever I am there, it just seems to be lacking the excitement of Adventure Land. :(

Me and DBF have had this discussion before. We both absolutely love tomorrowland. Theres just something we love about it, something we connect with there. Not to mention Stitch is my favorite character and I love his 'ride'. :mickey:
Plus we love the ppl mover, and COP is one of our favorites! :thumbsup:

for this one i picked fantasyland because pp is my #1 nostalgic ride and first place we go.

Frontierland narrowly edged out Adventureland for me. It has two of my favorites (Splash & Big Thunder), while Adventureland has Pirates. Those are the last three rides we do before we leave.

Had to go with Adventureland. While we have children and now their wishes have us start the day in either Fantasyland or in Frontierland, my favorite way to start my day at MK is to turn left and enter Adventureland. POTC has always been my favorite ride and choice for first ride of the day, then a stroll over to the Jungle cruise for a good chuckle before taking a seat to enjoy the show at the Tiki Room, yes I even enjoy the under new management version but not as much as the old version :beat: . I love to return to Adventureland in the evening before leaving, the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse is so nice lit up at night and the attraction is deserted allowing you time to check out all the details. Once again a ride on the Jungle Cruise which is even more enjoyable at night than during the daytime. Last but not least another ride on POTC before leaving, that's my version of the WDW good night kiss :mickey:.
