So, just got back from Epcot tonight.

The globe is back in IllumiNations!!!

The refurb seemed to work well, as the images seem brighter, sharper and more colorful than ever.

We were entranced by the globe, which is funny, because before the refurb, we were bored by the globe. My wife said that she thought she saw some new video on the globe. I'm not sure if it's new or if I just never watched it before... hehe. Anyhow, it looks awesome.

For some reason, the fountain fireworks that come out of the torch at the end weren't there. Weird. I hope they didn't decide to permanently remove those fireworks.

i just missed it as i returned on Thursday.

Thanks for the report. We also missed it by a 5 days. Good to hear the video is brighter.

I might go on like Thursday or something (if I don't go to Adventurer's Club. This is the last week for CM's to get in free so I need to go now).

Great news! Thanks for the update!
I was very dissappointed on our recent visit by the 'updated' show!

..can't wait to see the restored version at Christmas!!!:mickey:

Man!!! We missed it by a day! We were there on Friday night and it just wasn't the same. It was way too short, too.

woo hoo. we were there the first year and have never seen it without it. It was like seeing SSE for the fisrt time w/o the wand. our fist trip was in 2000, i believe it was the first year for both, am I wrong? I know that the 2000 was changed to EPCOT, but what about the globe?

Saw the globe tonight... it was AMAZING. I actually could see what was on there, instead of just lights and colors.

That sounds right, but the globe may have been there for a portion of 1999.

I'm glad to hear that the globe has made a return and is better than ever before.
