Hi everyone,
I just wanted to give you a quick update on my niece Faith. I know it's been a really long time since I posted anything about her (two jobs and school make for one busy bluebird) but I thought I should update you just in case.
If you recall, I last wrote to tell you that Faith was undergoing surgery to remove her large intestine, rectum and colon due to ulcerative colitis.
After 6 months, and many complications, Faith was released from the hospital on Labor Day. She has even started 1st grade! (Though only for half days b/c her immune system is still weak)
Thank you all so much for all of the prayers and pixie dust sent her way; all of your good wishes meant so much to us. I truly believe that without them she might not have recovered half so well.
