I was jsut wondering if anyone is there with the free dining? Or just got back... How did you find the crowds to be?

We just got back yesterday and found the crowds to be very low. My DH and I kept commenting on how empty Epcot was. We walked at rope drop and managed to do most everything we wanted to in the morning. The longest line we waited on was TSM. When the rope dropped, everyone went that way. We waited about 45 minutes on line, loved the ride and got a fast pass when we got out. The passes were all gone by 11:00.

I just got back last Thursday, now if you got to the parks at opening you were fine. Most everything was a walk on. But around 11am it started getting busy. We utilized Fast Pass as much as we could and it really helped.

There is more life at the HM than the parks.

Meaning, it's pretty dead. Yesterday, we only had 6 boats running (normal ops is 10) and most of those were sent out with less than 15 people on it (they hold 39), if not dead (no one at all).

Awesome. That's good to hear. Maybe these storms are making people change their minds. We're heading out on Saturday and I'm worried about the storms, but I'm not letting it stop as of right now!

Don't forget that Disney offers these kind of programs at those times of year when they want to attract more people. Meaning, that they will most often be offered when crowd sizes are low. As a result, even though the free dining may add some extra people to the parks they will still tend to be less crowded than when they don't offer it.

Granted, there can always be exceptions to every rule.

this really is a great time of year to go. We have been down there a few times in September and couldn't believe how dead it has been. I actually snapped a picture of the rotary in front of the castle at 11am, and there was only a few people walking around. We'll be back in 13 days woohooo

We just returned home yesterday from a 10 day visit. Crowds were low the first few days, they picked up a little for the holiday weekend ( still not crowded though) and by tuesday and wednesday we pretty much walked on everything. On wednesday , we waited 11 minutes for TSM when it first opened, we got right on TOT and RRC immediately afterwards. Then we went to EPCOT and waited 13 minutes for SOARIN and waited 7 minutes for Test Track ( I timed them). We never waited more than 30 minutes for anything our entire trip. :mickey:
