DVC Discount for Cash Reservation?

I think DVC offers a discount for cash reservations, but I can't find it written down anywhere. Is it true? How much (%) is the discount? Any restrictions or limitations?

There are a certain number of rooms available for the "cash rate" to DVC members.

Not exactly sure of what the percentage is, but I can give you an idea of what you'll pay.

Last December (early in the month), we got a cash rate at a studio at OKW for about $225 plus taxes. For this coming February (President's week which is a busy time) we got a studio at SSR for $305 plus taxes.

They're not great rates and seem to be close to those of AP rates when available.

The discount is 25%. It is only available when DVC forecasts that a resort won't be fully booked, so it's not always available.

I tried to get a cash rate at BC for December and no dice...no cash rates anywhere for the week before Xmas.

Not that I'm surprised or anything, but just an fyi about that week...
