OK, I know that this is probably a dumb question, but what time do they have this ceremony? My husband and I tried to catch this last year and we arrived approx 20 minutes before opening time, and we had already missed everything. We are going back in May '09 and would love to see this just once.:mickey:

Not sure what time it starts but when we were there in July we arrived at about 8:40 and it was already in full swing!

Technically there are 2 openings..the first is to go onto mainstreet and the 2nd is to the lands. You should see the line at Tomorrowland bridge..>WOW

We love the lines at Tomorrowland. That is when we feel we really are at Disney.:mickey:

We've seen this every morn when we get there early enough at MK. The times we have caught it they opened the turnstiles at 8:30, and the show begins about 8:40. It's a fun way to begin the day.

Technically there are 2 openings..the first is to go onto mainstreet and the 2nd is to the lands. Not any more. There are no more "rope drops" at each land. The entire park all opens at the same time - 9am. For EMH mornings, only Tomorrowland and Fantasyland are open.

The Magic Kingdom Welcome Show is performed daily at 8:48am (for a 9:00am park opening). The show is not performed on EMH mornings. When we open early (for holidays, for example), the show is performed 12 minutes prior to park opening.

Thats good to know, thanks! I remember getting run over holding the rope several times.

We were there about a week ago and I was surprised because I have never seen this show. It made my eyes a little damp. I love to be outside at 9am because the welcome anouncement never gets old.
