Since we had a post about our favorite queue, what is your least fav? Mine is probably Soarin, it just seems really really long with really no interesting theme, kinda like an airport but not really, and also BTM until you get into the lower level and feel that sweet sweet A/C

My least favorite is Test Track. I've spent so much time in it I know it by heart !!! :funny:

Why are so many of the lines in AK outside? I think it's a large part of why people find the park so hot and uncomfortable.

I was immediately going to say Dumbo- it's like the tarmac trail of tears in the heat!
As soon as Soarin' was mentioned, I knew that was truly the worse.....

After further deliberation .... It's a Bugs Life !!! They packed us in like sardines. And it seemed like we were waiting forever!

I would have to say Big Thunder Mountain. Cannot stand waiting in line for this ride!

Probably Space Mountain. Its disgusting and hot and congested, and the 'windows' looking out into space don't work very well, and its just uncomfortable.

Although it's not technically a queue- one of the most unpleasant waits is the HUGE line for Finding Nemo The Musical. The line just flows along a regular path in AK. There is no cover from the sun, it crosses a major AK intersection which causes confusion for those in line as well as passers-by, and the stroller situation is a nightmare.

I agree, though Peter Pan, Tomorrowland Speedway, and Pooh are all slow, hot, and tightly packed.

Any queue? I would say T2 over at USF is probably the worst.

Just Disney?

Epcot - Maybe EEA, sitting out in the summer heat with the mirrors reflecting the searing hot sun onto every square inch of your exposed flesh!!!

MGM - The Fantasmic! queue for the first show during the summer months. I've been waiting out by the shops along Sunset Blvd, only to have to queue through the B&tB theater then up the longest walkway known to man!

AK - Rali River Rapid and/or Festival of the Lion King. The heat and the sardine factor are a lot to deal with.

MK - The number 1 worst queue though in all of WDW is probably SGE. I've seen people queued up and around the back, and knowing the payoff isn't going to be there makes it that much worse!

* Test Track - the music/sound effects wear on me after a little while

* Soarin' - it has that deceptive "gate keeper" effect, in which you can't see how long the next part of the line is past the first long hallway

* Space Mountain - tight, dark and stuffy

* Fantasmic (during busier seasons) - it's really a non-queue, with people packed in like sardines and kind of jockeying for position

Thinking about this makes me really appreciate Fast Pass! :mickey:

In terms of entertainment value, I think Peter Pan tends to be very long and highly boring. We always fp Soarin', so though it looks awful I wouldn't really know.

Fantasmic! is, I think, maybe the worst because it's wide enough and people push hard enough that you could really get hurt there. I love Disney, but the Fantasmic line is not a great idea. I've seen too many kids get elbowed in the face, too many feet get rolled over, too many people get those light-up swords to the side. It's like Survival of the Fittest over there.

I hate to wait at the Speedway. You are in the direct sun and all the fumes from the cars are horrible!

I guess even the worst queue at Disney is still better then any at Six Flags

Gator

It' A Small World...very pathetic. The ride at Disneyland had great landscaping and more appeal. At WDW, it's just a ramp. It's just a cheap version of the original.

laprana
08-22-2008, 05:09 PM
BTMRR! That's one ride where I won't use the standby line! It's fast pass or nothing, especially when it's hot!

I also agree with the others who've said Soarin and Test Track. Soarin is too long and boring and Test Track is just too dang noisy! All those clangs, clanks, and crashes wear on my ears after a while.

PrincessTracie
08-22-2008, 05:24 PM
Any queue that is outside is my least favorite!! Although I would rather be in that queue then sitting back at home at my desk at work!! And day in WDW is better than a day at work, IMO!

If I had to pick just one queue that I hated more than anything, it would be test track.. only because the constant repetitive noises give me a headache.

Soarin- absolutely nothing to look at.

It's Tough to be a Bug- Talk about small, confined places. I always freak out. They shove way too many people in that small space.

I have to agree with Peter Pan! Not only is there no theme, but it is consistantly one of the longest lines in the park. I mean its cute and all, but who is going to wait 75 mins!!??

I find the Soarin queue very boring, I dread waiting in that line.

Space Mountain is pretty bad too. I remember when they used the whole entire queue where they load the cars. That was just insane!!! right to left, right to left...ughhh im so glad they at least don't use that area anymore.

I can understand the comments about Soarn' but since we never do it but by fast pass don't really notice it. For us its RnR. The outside portion is just walls and slow and hot. Once you get past the doors and inside its just a rush and blur, even the short film is sometimes missed. So a boring hour outside and the such fast movement inside you kind of miss that part.

Soarin, Space mountain (why do I always seem to be behind kids who want to make out?) and Peter Pan.

I like the haunted mansion q - still dig the headstones after all of this time.

Soarin' and sence its so wide ppl always try to sneak by us so we have to stand four across

"DoYouHaveYourParkPass?"

Although its only a queue of sorts I would have to say the rafts over to Tom Sawyer island. They are the reason I really don't bother going over there anymore, I can't stand it.

Anddd Journey into Imagination, and soarin is at least A/C but after the FP and standby lines meet its boring on those ramps could use much more interesting things around you to keep you occupied. That silly excuse for a wild mouse ride at AK too that queue as well

Primeval Whirl, Stitch, Indy Speedway, Astro Orbitor

maxrebo77
08-25-2008, 02:08 PM
I had though of other things until the rafts were mentioned. Standing there on that dock watching them chug slowly across, watching them come for you, chugging across, and then knowing you will have to do it again. Is this the only attraction that when you are done you are not free to go unless you swim?

phillydan
08-25-2008, 03:18 PM
I agree with all of the others (Soarin, BTMRR, Test Track, etc), but you can usually cancel these out with fastpass.

Astro Orbitor has got to be the worst. Even when there are just a few people in front of you, it takes forever to load the elevator, get upstairs and then wait for another cycle to load the ride. I have yet to have a "walk right on" experience.

TXTigger

I'd have to say Indy speedway. The wait was hot and long, and the fumes were just nasty.

I don't know the one that bothers me the most is Indy Speedway, all the fumes just get to me, I don't know how those CM"s do it!!!!

Space Mountain. Love the ride, but the queue is so dark and dreary and with nothing to see until you get into the "launch bay". And, I don't understand why they don't let more people into back-and-forth queues inside. While I don't like the dark dreary inside line, it beats standing in the hot sun outside.

jillluvsdisney
08-25-2008, 06:56 PM
I can't handle any ride that requires me to be in sun for very long. The Test Track lines get very annoying hearing all that banging and crashing. It is neat to look at but only if you have ear plugs. I don't like the cattle call before Fantasmic. That is probably why I've only ever seen it once.

Indy Speedway and Dumbo tie for me.

While I agree that Soarin' is a ho-hum queue, at least they have those interactive screens to pass the time in line when you eventually get to that point in line.

That being said, RNRC is a ridiculously bad queue, especially the outdoor portion. The only plus to that queue is I was able to get some great unobstructed photos of the Hollywood Tower Hotel while in line.

I would agree if I ever had to wait, but in all my visits I have walked right on, soooo, it is a favorite!

Mine has to be Indy Speedway, the smell is so bad from the car fumes, I can't do it
