We plan on taking advantage of as many AM extra magic hours as possible...However, what time do the parks open with extra magic hours in the AM and how exactly does it work??

Do you just show up and in ya go?

thanks!

When a park has morning EMH, it opens to resort guests 1 hour before the public opening time. The public opening time is the time listed on the park hours calendar/schedule.

In other words, if you see that the park opens at 9:00 a.m., that means that on an EMH morning, resort guests can gain entry at 8:00 a.m.

You'll need to use your Key to the World card at the entrance in order to prove you are a WDW resort guest.

Once you're in ... you're in!!!

The above poster is correct. We have done both am and pm extra magic hours and the am is the best time and least crowded to go, if you get their at 8:ooam. An example is that on our last trip at AK we rode EE 3 times in the first 20 minutes of park opening without using FP. It was great.:mickey:

I'd recommend getting there earlier than an hour before the park opens. The lines can build up (depending on what time of year you are going). If the regular hours open at 9:00 that would mean EMH's would open at 8:00. I'd get there around 7:45 so you will already be in line. All you have to do is use your room key/key to the world to get in- just like you would normally do.

I wonder if they do the opening song and dance to the park when there are EMH?

Make sure you're in the correct line at the turnstiles. There have separate waiting lines for Resort guests utilizing the Extra Magic Hours.

No. They don't do the regular opening shows for an EMH morning.
