CD in a DVD player?

not sure if this is in the right place...but....


can you play a music CD in a DVD player? I didn't want to try and find my cd all scratched up or something.

Most DVD players will play Music CD's with no problem.

It should play the CD just fine if not the most that would happen is your DVD player wouldn't recognize the disk. But it shouldn't hurt your disk.

Yes it should play no problem, but if it is a "burned" CD the DVD player will need to be a newer progressive scan model for it to play copied CD or DVDs.

Some DVD players play it some dont' it depends on the DVD players capability...HOWEVER the worse that will happen is your DVD player will sit trying to "read" the disk and eventually be unsuccessful. The disk is read by a "light"...nothing really "touches" the disk.
