World Showcase

Is there any specific reason for the order of the countries in World Showcase.
I realize American Adventure is centered, and Canada and Mexico, the two countries that border the US, are the first ones you encounter on either side, but the remaining countries seem to be random.

:thumbsup: an interesting question that I can honestly say never came to mind...nor had I ever thought of the US as being centered and bookended by canada and mexico...if there is an order to the rest I willbe interested to see what it is.....and if it allows for any future expansion.

I think the waterway separating UK from France is supposed to represent the English Channel.

I took the Hidden Treasures to World Showcase back in 2002 and they told us the reason why the countries are arranged around World Showcase.

One little tidbit that I remember is if you look between France & Morocco on the pavement you will see a rust colored wavey stream so to speak, that's the Straits of Gibraltar.
