Just can't decide where to book for next year - we are a family of 6 and are looking to stay in a Deluxe or Vacation Villa.

I understand the Contemporary has rooms that will fit 5 plus baby in a crib. Has anyone stayed in the Garden Wing? Is it a good location? Are the rooms a comfortable size?

Or is the Poly better? We like the idea of either since they are on the monorail.

I think the Garden Wing rooms at the Contemporary resort are a hidden gem. We stayed in the tower last November, but spent time by the Wing while we were by the pool. The wing has all the benefits of the Contemporary resort, plus it is right on bay lake and right by the pool! They are quieter then the tower and the briefest of walks to the main bldg and monorail.

We stayed in the Garden Wing last September and really enjoyed it. We had a great view of Bay Lake and enjoyed the close proximity to the pool.

We have stayed in the wings multiple times over the years, and are big fans. We stayed in the newly renovated South Wing in 2006. Rooms are large. Two Queen sized beds, a day bed, big enough for a large child or small adult, and enough room for a crib. Short walk to pool, monorail, buses, or even to the MK. The Food and Fun Center has closed, so the game room is now on the concourse (fourth floor), along with the Grab n' Go, and the shops.

I love to stroll, sipping my coffee, on the dock early in the AM, waiting for my escort of the day to head for the parks. Also, we love to take the boat to Ft. Wilderness, to dine at Trails End. DW has always enjoyed the Electric Water Parade, either from the room, or from the dock. And I believe that the dock bar serves the coldest beer at WDW. We've been there with infants, toddlers, pre-teens, and teens....and even grown up kids, and all have enjoyed CR.

We love the Contemporary and the Garden Wing was very nice for us. You do get the feeling of away from the maddness. Although I like the madness too....LOL

I love the CR either tower or wing. I don't know that you want to put 6 people of any age in one room at the CR. If you do decide to do the wing, request a ground floor room so you can walk outside easily. The ducks will almost come in the room if you feed them.

Contemporary Garden Wing rooms are the most economical monorail rooms....to me they are one of the better "deals" at WDW.

I loved the north garden wing and its parking lot view.
Wish they had kept the north and put the new tower on the south side

We stayed in both wings several times throughout the years and prefer them to the tower. They are quiet and very large and comfortable. It is easier to get to the pools and the views are great.
