Mini Marathon

Does anybody have any info on this marathon. Does it go in the parks?

The Minnie Marathon was held for the last time in May 2008.

It has been replaced by the Princess Half-Marathon. This race will be held for the first time in 2009.

There's also a half-marathon that's scheduled for the weekend of the marathon, in January.

Well, if you mean the half marathon, which is held on marathon weekend in January, I can tell you a little about that. :)

I ran the Disney Marathon in 2004, and both the full and the half marathon do go through the parks. If I can remember correctly, there was a point just before Animal Kingdom where the half marathon ended and the full marathon continued on.

The race started WAY early in the morning, and, although there is a good bit of running through the parks, the majority of it is in backlot areas and on the roads around the Disney property.

Wow, I can remember all to vividly how boring miles 18-24 or so were, sort of an out and back loop near EPCOT and the boardwalk area, but it was all road.
