The start time varies with park hours.

From Hidden Treasures & Surprises (http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/park/hiddentreasures.asp)
Kiss Goodnight
Cinderella Castle sends off guests with an array of colors and lights after a long day in the Magic Kingdom. The display typically is conducted at normal park close or 30 minutes prior to and at the end of Extra Magic Hours.

The kiss goodnight is the music and light show on the castle as the park is emptying out. There is a narrator who talks about the magic of Disney and thanks everyone there for being part of "this special day," etc. Then usually at the end Mickey's voice comes on and says goodnight to everyone.

I think Mickey is then sometimes (maybe alsways) up at the train station waving goodby to the guests as they leave.

There is youtube video of the kiss goodnight at various times of the year. I think it was especially beautiful at Christmas this past year.

Anyway, its late, I think it's an hour after park closing but I'm not sure. I know my kids would love it if they could stay awake for it. It's very "Disney Magic."

I have seen this..I didn't know it was called anything. It is so beautiful! I love the castle as it changes different colors.
I believe the 'show' starts at 11pm and is in 3 min incriments.
Roy O. Disney's wdw dedication speech is played.

Yep, this was new to me as well until I experienced it last week.

While this is slightly off subject (but it did happen late at night), this past Friday the MK had EMH until 3am and I was surprised to see Mickey and Minnie together around 2am for character greetings on the side of the Castle. Even more surprising was all of the little ones going strong at that hour!

Not really. It's like every 30-45 minutes during certain points of the year. Most of the time, it's about an hour to an hour and a half after park closing.

Also, not all of the shows are the same. I've seen them not do the speeches and just lights and music. It varies.

For the upcoming week, it's at 10:30, 11:00, 11:30pm on the regular nights. And on the EMH night, it's 3:00, 3:30, and 4:00 am.
