Hi Folks,
My Dad had his 2nd bypass surgery in 8 years on Thursday the 31st. He did really good and looked so much better than he did after his first surgery in 2001...however, the last few days he was not feeling good. We brought him into the emergency room last night to find out he has appendicitis....they are being removed right now...we are heading into the hospital now.

Pixie Dust for my Dad would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Thank you every one. My dad's surgery went well, they told him he could go home today or stay the night in light of the fact that he had recently had his open heart. He is going to stay the night, which we would all prefer.

He looks better already, his biggest problem right now is insomnia and he is exhausted from not sleeping.

Hopefully he will get a few good hours of sleep from the painkiller they will give him.

The percoset and benadryl they had him on after his heart surgery did nothing for him and he wont' be taking those again.

They also found a small hernia which they repaired.

Thankfully, despite his heart problems, he is a very strong man and takes things in stride, he gets emotional and even more so from lack of sleep but I have no doubt he will be better in no time!

Thanks again!

Sounds like your family has had more than enough hospital stuff to handle this year! I hope your dad makes a speedy and complete recovery! :pixie::pixie::pixie::pixie:

:pixie: and prayers for your pop! I guess it's true when they say "if it's not one thing, it's another." Here's hoping that there are no more unexpected trips to the ER for him!
