Please send Pixie Dust for my Grandpa...

Hi everyone....

I got some news last night that my Grandpa has a tumor in his mouth that is cancerous. They will have it removed and give him radiation for 6 weeks.

I'm really sad about this b/c he is like a dad to me. I basically was his shadow all my life and went everywhere he went.

I'm keeping the faith, as I know he is, that all is going to be well. He's one of the most positive men I've ever met and his attitude about all this is amazing!

I'm just kinda upset that I found out about this through an email from my dad. Ugh..that just irritated me, but that's the kinda relationship my dad and I have...oh well.

Hope there's enough Pixie dust out there to send his way for all to go well, and for me to be not so bummed about this news.

8/14 - My dad said my Grandpa is doing really well after his surgery. My aunt and uncle are staying with him and he seems to be doing well. It's kinda funny he's on the same floor with the same nurses I had when I was in the hospital, but I was there for three months.

He should be going home this weekend. Thanks again for all the prayers and :pixie: - I appreciate them a lot!!

Thank you everyone. I spoke to my Grandpa and he is in good spirits about all this. Even though, he's going through all this he told me his number 1 priority is my Grandma. She is suffering with dementia and has to have someone watch her. My dad lives with them so he is there, but when he has surgery next week to remove the tumor someone will have to come and sit with her.

I just wish I could go back to New Orleans to visit them - they are two special people who I dearly miss.

I trust in One that all will work out and that things will get better.

I posted a new thread....not thinking to continue with this one. My grandma is now in the hospital having complications....

My grandpa's surgery is this afternoon to remove the remaining tumor.
