 I HAVE COME TO VENT!!!!! I purchased the MYW Package w/ free dining for 6 night/7 Days. I upgraded to the Deluxe dining and was told @ booking that I would receive several amenities including a certificate for a free Photo Pass complimentary 5x7 photo. I received all my goodies in the mail last week and the free photo certf. was not in it. Now mind you, I started the booking process online and was told to contact a reservation specialist, which I did. She informed me that I would receive the photo certif.. When I got my conformation statement online it was not on there. I called and was again told that I would receive it. Even after contacting Disney again last week, the person said it should be in the mail any day. WELL...Today I called and the person was very snippy and informed me that I would not be receiving the certificate because it was not booked online. That is BULL! Online told me to contact a reservation specialist!! I am very sad, especially since this will by my families first trip to Disney! I find it hard to believe that Disney would not honor a stupid $12 photo, especially since I read to them verbatim what the description said!!

Having said all this, I wondering what other unfortunate surprises Disney has in store!:(

1) First off, Chill.
2) Now, take a big breath.
3) This is not a crisis, or even the end of the Earth.
4) Besides, it is easily remedied.

5) When you check-in ask for a certificate.
6) You may have to relate your story to one of the young managers.
7) If so, be soft, pleasant, and kind.
8) You gets lots of stuff at WDW by being nice.

Another option for a free photo is to get the Disney Visa. Yes, it is a credit card so you will need to apply for it like any other Visa. However, Disney offers some perks for cardholders, like discounts at the WOD and on tours in the parks.

One of the perks is that you can go to a Character Meet and Greet at Epcot that is only available to cardholders (you have to show your Disney Visa at the entrance). You will get a free 5x7 photo from that photo shoot (taken by photopass).

As for your photo voucher with your package, I suggest you print out the information you have from when you booked online and take it with you to WDW. When you check in, show it to them and explain the voucher was not included in your documents. It's worth a try.

You know, we have had 3 packages sent to us over the last two years and each time it was to include the voucher for a free photo, but we have never gotten them. Ever. I asked once when I called to confirm the reservation before we left and they said something about telling the CM at check in, but I forgot. While the CMs won't necessarily bend over backwards to do anything you ask, they are very nice and helpful (obviously, they have occassional off day and get snippy. Just talk to a manager and that will stop real quick).

The only disappointment I've ever had caused by Disney was when asking for something to be put in our room as a surprise for my little brother. We adopted him (kind of) and celebrate the day we got the court papers by having "Gotcha Day". I asked when I first booked the package if they could do something special for when we get there and they said they could have a few balloons and a signed card or something waiting. When we got there, there was nothing. No problem. So we called the front desk and reminded them, then went off to the parks. When we got back there was a signed 8x10 of Mickey signed to the right name, but said "Happy 6th Birthday!". I thought it was funny, but my 12 year old brother found it VERY insulting. We took it down to the front desk and explained (nicely - I believe in kindness whenever at all possible) and the CM was very apologetic and promised to fix it, but it never got done. Everything that we paid for was 100% satisfactory but the extras might get overlooked.

So yeah, relax. Just have fun. You're not going because of the free picture, so just go with it. They might turn you down when you talk to a manager, but is it worth ruining your trip over?

:mickey:Hi...Thanks! I do have the Disney Visa and planned on getting the free photo there as well. I also have my Disney Rewards card in hand to use. I heard you can use it for the tips at several of the restaurants I have ADR's at.
