Here's something I've wondered about for awhile.
Crisscrossing through Disney property you see areas that look like a heavy offset disk has been run through them - just narrow stretches of soft sandy soil that almost look like roads or trails, (especially from the monorail to Epcot you can see them). Does anyone know what those are for? The two possibilities I've come up with
1. Fire breaks -seems unlikely since there are already so many roads that would make better locations to fight a brush/forest fire on property.
2. Utility corridors -this would be my guess, that Disney runs utilities (gas, sewer, water, elec) under those areas and runs the disk over the ground on top to keep trees and brush from growing in which would make repair work more difficult if anything ever needs to be dug up.
Anyone else notice them or know the answer?
