We have just booked the Keys to the Kingdom tour for our upcoming trip and I didn't think to ask this while I had the CM on the phone. Can our kids come inside the park with us or will they have to wait outside until the park "officially" opens? My kids are 17,14,& 12 so it's not that big of a deal, but I would feel better knowing they are in the park.

We're doing Keys to the Kingdom as well. What time is your tour? Because usually MK opens anywhere from 7 am (EMH) to 9am.... and if your kids have park tickets, they can probably enter the park with you, or just wait outside the gates for the 10 -15 minutes until opening.

hhhmmm...8:30.... If you check the calendars, here on Intercot for EMH and park hours you can tell exactly what time MK opens on the day of your tour. Intercot has park hours and EMH hours through January 2009.

Your kids could always go have breakfast at Poly or GF or Contemporary and then just take the monorail over to MK when the park opens

Generally speaking, unless they are signed up for the tour, they would not be allowed to enter the park until it opens. The MK does do an opening celebration in front of the Train station about 15 to 30 minutes before opening. They usually have some characters out and pick someone to open the park for the day.

Gibbs: Don't worry- they can go to the MK "holding area" with you. (Through security and probably through the ticket turnstiles.) Then those of you signed up for the tour will go off with your escort for the day. The kids will be in an area with lots of other tourists waiting for the opening "show" and then into the park itself. Perfectly safe & easy. (I'm assuming the MK opens at 9 AM).

Don't forget to arrange for a meeting place afterwards, although the exact time will vary depending on how "chatty" your tour group is! If you and your kids have cell phones, no problem- just call them when you're finished.

We loved this tour;I think your 17 yr old will be jealous that he/she didn't go along once you start talking about all that you did!
