July 27, 1916 – Actor Keenan Wynn, who played John Slade in Disney’s 1976 film “The Shaggy D.A.” was born in N.Y.C.
July 27, 1945 – Disney’s Pluto cartoon “Canine Casa Nova” was released.
July 27, 1953 – Disney’s “Peter Pan” was released in the U.K.
July 27, 1956 – The Disney cartoon “In the Bag” directed by Jack Hannah and filmed in CinemaScope was released.
July 27, 1962 – The Firehouse Five Plus Two (a spare time musical group made up of writers, animators, producers, and directors at the Walt Disney Studios) were recorded live at the Golden Horseshoe in Disneyland, and the performance would be recorded and released by Good Time Jazz Records.
July 27, 1986 – The Disney/Touchstone film “Ruthless People” was released.
July 27, 2005 – Disney announced that David Vixie, an 8th grade Humanities Teacher from Paradise, Ca. has been named the 2005 Teacher of the Year.
July 27, 2006 – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers returned for their 4th year of training camp at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex at WDW.

"Canine Casanova" is my favorite Pluto cartoon. Was that the only cartoon with that female dog as Pluto's "girlfriend"?
