July 19, 1919 – Dal McKennon, the voice of Benjamin Franklin in WDW’s “American Adventure” in Epcot, and the narrator of the “Mine Train thru Nature’s Wonderland,” and was the voice of the animated bear in “Bedknobs and Broomsticks,” and appeared in the films “Son of Flubber,” “The Misadventures of Merlin Jones,” and “The Cat from Outer Space,” was born in Oregon.
July 19, 1934 – Disney signed a contract with the Lionel Corp. to produce a Mickey Mouse wind-up hand-car.
July 19, 1940 – Disney’s Donald Duck cartoon “Put-Put Troubles” was released.
July 19, 1942 – Character actor & Disney voice star Sterling Halloway enlisted in the U.S. Army.
July 19, 1946 – Disney’s Pluto cartoon “The Purloined Pup” was released.
July 19, 1948 – Disney’s Pluto cartoon “The Purloined Pup” was released.
July 19, 1950 – Disney’s live-action film “Treasure Island,” was the 1st film shot without any animation, and the 1st to be shot in England, was released.
July 19, 1950 – Disney’s True-Life Adventure film “Beaver Valley” was released.
July 19, 1955 – A 12-year-old California named Tom Nabbe started his new job as a “newsie,” hawking “The Disneyland News” on the park’s Main Street. (Nabbe would go on to become Disneyland’s first Tom Sawyer, a monorail manager at WDW, and later manager of distribution service at WDW, and also a Disney Legend.
July 19, 1957 – The Disney animated short “The Story of Anyburg, U.S.A.,” directed by Clyde Geronimi, was released. It featured the voices of Hans Conried, Thurl Ravenscroft, and Bill Thompson.

That was a great movie. Just saw it all the way through earlier this year.
