Of course we are very excited and very anxious to actually hold our new granddaughter! :cloud9: She arrived 3 weeks early...very healthy I might add...but we are on vacation in Maine! We were very disappointed not to be there but decided not to foreit all of our deposits to go home on Monday when we just got here (does that make us bad grandparents already?). Our son has been very sweet to text us pictures everyday! We fly home tomorrow and head straight to their house as soon as we get off the plane!
We can't wait to take her to the Cinderella's Castle....is it too early to take a 6 month old in January? Do we have to wait that long?:mickey:

I'm sure you're going to be wonderful grandparents, and you'll be glad you had your vacation and get to come home all rested and relaxed to meet her. Congratulations!

Congrats, Bev. You're gonna absolutely love being a g'parent. :cloud9:

We just had # 8 a few months ago, 1000 miles from us; we couldn't wait to get up there to properly introduce ourselves.

We enjoy the g'kids so much we often wonder why we didn't have them first! :D

Congratulations on the arrival of your new :princess:!

I don't think that anyone who is already thinking about their grandkid's first trip to WDW can possibly be a bad grandparent! :mickey:

There are so many visitors in the beginning I'm sure your son and dil won't mind. Now you can help once the other people have started to back off.

Our new little princess is beautiful!!! :princess: (I am sure no one is surprised that I am saying that!) We arrived yesterday after a wonderful week in Maine...it truly is the way life should be..in July anyway! We had great weather and wonderful food. We are happy we didn't cut our trip short but we are very glad to be home. Little Kate is as sweet as she can be with rosy lips and pink cheeks. She looks like a baby doll! I am not kidding you...and this is not just the grandma in me talking. She is so petite at only 6 lbs but she definitely melts my 6'2" DH from the moment he laid eyes on her!

Congrats!
I don't think 6 months is to early to visit Disney. My dad is already planning a trip in July of 2009 for our first child (his 1st grandchild) who isn't even due until January of 2009!
