High School Musical 2 Show Closing???

A friend just told me that she read (on another site) that the High School Musical 2 show at the Studios will close 9/13 to be replaced by HSM3 on 10/24. I am wondering if anyone can confirm this and if anyone knows if is is closing when will be its last show. We arrive to WDW on the 12th and were planing on going to HS on the 13th in the afternoon. I will make sure we are there on the 12th or earlier on the 13th if we need to be. My DD would be crushed if she did not get to see it. Thank you for the help.:mickey:

High School Hiatus

7/13/08 The High School Musical Pep Rally will be dark September 14, 2008 through October 23, 2008. The mobile show will return as a new “Senior Year” version on October 24, 2008, subsequently making September 13, 2008 the final day for the “Schools Out” version. Although the exact differences between the two versions have not been announced, it can reasonably be expected that the new version will contain songs and dance numbers from the forthcoming “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” movie.

We are going at the beginning of October and taking my friend and her family. Her daughter will be so crushed to hear this news. :( She has never been to Disney World before and was looking forward to the High School Musical Show.

We didn't get to see the whole show on our March trip this year but my DDs will be happy to hear there will be a new version for our next trip.

Since Sept 13 is our arrival day, guess that's our only chance to see HSM. So we'll be at the Studios on the 13th! DD5 wasn't really into HSM last year, but now she's a big fan.

Bummer! The last time we were there, they were changing over from HSM to HSM2. Now we will miss HSM2 by 2 days. My kids will be bummed.
