HOORAY!!! Mom finally back a DVC resale!!! Well...at least, she is in the process of buying one and if everything works out then the sale will close in Sept. She found a BCV resale for 100 points that will give her a nice start. With those points, the whole gang (all 8 of us...mom, DB, his DD15, me,DH,DS9,DD7, and DS2) can go to WDW every other year for 5 nights which will be a good little vacation for us all.
Now, my hubby is starting to get a little excited about us getting our own set of points so we can add some extra days on the years that we go. The cheapest way to have our own points is to buy OKW resale. We like OKW but we would like to be able to try out some different resorts also. If we get our own points then we will add days for all 8 of us and not just our family.
If we do get our points at OKW, then we are planning to use mom's points for however many nights that will give us at BCV and then adding nights at OKW for our number of points all at 11 months. Then at 7 months trying to switch the OKW night for a different resort if we can and want to on that trip. With the new rules about reservations, would this be a problem? Could just switch one part of the reservation to another resort since that will be from two different members?
