Help w/ Toy Story Mania- High Points?

We arrived at WDW this morning to begin our 10-day vacation. We waited for 40 min. to ride TSM at DHS. It was AWESOME!!! I didn't stop laughing the entire time... my favorite part was when you shot the rainclouds and you got wet. (I probably sound like I'm four...) Anyway, I only got up to about 117,800 points, and I saw that the high scores for the day were up in the 300,000s. Are there any special places that you can shoot at that will give you a really high score? Are there any special targets??? Any help is much appreciated.

I don't know where the extra points are but, I wanted to mention how much we loved that ride last month too. What a blast!! (literally too, lol)

To get a really high score, you need a really good partner. Each game has a "special target" that releases extra targets with high points (for example, in the baloon game if you hit the baloons on the sun, many yellow baloons with points get released). This is why you need a good partner, as that helps release them sooner.

Also, the rapid fire round at the end where the mines are - as you hit the one target constantly, the points gradually increase from 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, 10000. You gotta be quick though to get it to the last levels. Because each hit at that level will get you that many points (and I think it's like 15 hits to move on).

Love these insider tips! My DF and I compete in Buzz and imagine his surprise last summer when I did my research here on intercot and beat him! We had to play best out of 9 games! Cant wait to try TSM!
