How is the Turf Club?

How is Saratoga's restaurant Turf Club? This will be our first trip at this resort.

EXCELLENT!!!
We ate there 3 times on our last visit.....had both lunch and dinner...all meals were great.
Burgers, sandwiches and steaks.

I can highly recommend the crab cakes-light, full of flavor with a crunchy coating! :thumbsup:
DH and DS's enjoyed the fried calamari, too.

Okay, I've eaten there twice - the most recent being in November.

And while I didn't have a bad time there, nor was the service lacking, I'd hardly call it "excellent."

The place is good - pretty good, really. My brother had a good steak, and I had a decent fish plate. We split the onion rings appetizer - deep fried, delicious, and so bad for you!!!
All of the food was good.
I like the place - I just wouldn't go out of my way to get there. It's good. Period.

To give you a basis for comparison, I'd call the following "excellent:"
Flying Fish
Cali Grill
Artist Point
Bistro

(I won't list V&A's to the list, as that would insult the chef at V&A's!!!)

We have eaten at the Turf Club many times, both for lunch and dinner. We have thoroughly enjoyed each and every meal. Wonderful burgers, steaks, pasta/seafood dishes, and great service. Excellent, actually..........
