Iowa Road Conditions

Wife and I are getting ready to leave on our road trip. Any body know if the flooding has affected I-80 through Iowa and Illinois??

I-80 is open through Illinois and Iowa now!

I-80 in Iowa was closed for a few days over Father's Day weekend. You can see as you cross over the Cedar River (between Davenport and Iowa City) how high it was (over 2 feet deep over the interstate)...

I personally do not know but if you do a google search of the Iowa and Illinois dept of tranportation they should have current road condition for there state.

I alway check road closure / construction issues before I leave for the world that way I know what to look forward to.

Also AAA has a link on their web site that allows you to go directly to any of the state that have on line road conditions.:mickey:

Just drove that entire stretch last weekend. No flooding troubles.
