Disney Collection Stay with Points

As Boardwalk, along with all other DVC resorts are booked for the first of December, I was thinking of using points to stay in one of the Disney Collection hotels. Has anyone done this? Is it difficult to get a room using points?

You could probably find room at one of the non-DVC resorts.
But if it were me, I'd stay on cash this time around and bank the points to use next year. I think it's a waste of points to use them at non-DVC WDW resorts.
Then- make sure you reserve at your home resort right at the 11 month mark if you plan to visit in early December 2009.
It's a VERY popular time for DVC Members.
