Crowds in January [Archive]

OK...I've heard that crowds are light in January with the exception of New Years. How fast to the crowds taper off? Jan 2 / 3/ 4/ 5? What should I expect going into 2009?

The first official Monday back to school is the way to go. Before that.....the first few days of January.....in 2008...they were absolutey P-A-C-K-E-D.

I would think they would probably start tapering off around the 3rd or 4th in 2009 as many schools will return to session on the 5th.

I agree with Rhonda. Crowds will remain through the weekend of the 4th then rapidly diminish.

Our January WDW vacation was wonderful and we felt was the best time to go. We went around the 15th to the 20th and the crowds were minimal. I think the longest we waited was 10 minutes for Peter Pan....but then when isn't there a wait for that????
