There's plenty now! SIL just canceled her BBQ due to the impending bad weather. The only one that will eat it my house is me! Believe me, I need to share! There's also plenty of coffee to be had! Dunkin Donuts Hazelnut anyone? Or regular? :coffee:

Summer camp, oh boy, my parents never let me go to summer camp. They used to tell me it was for kids who had parents that wanted to get rid of them. :( Since we lived on Lake Ponchartrain it was like camp all summer long but a camp of 1 with no horses, I wanted horses. :beat: oh wait wrong smilie...
I brought my snowball machine (at least that's what we call them down here and the only time we get snow. :snowball:
I can help in the mess hall... do you kids eat red beans and rice? It's a Monday tradition down here.

Welcome, yum strawberry shortcake my favorite. Can I have seconds?

Hey Melissa, welcome to JQ. You even knew the right way to our hearts! Hope you made plenty--this is a hungry bunch.
Anybody else expecting more thunderstorms today? I think we're working hard to get out of the drought.
We have been getting soaked but needed it but now the lawn is squishy. Lightening has been real bad but always is in this part of town. I keep telling myself I am going to get strike safe . Does anyone have that kind of service? It is supposed to protect you by grounding out the lightening and they guarantee your electronics. We got hit in Aug. 2005 (I remember b/c it was right before Katrina). I had to have the cable stuff replaced in the attic and lost my cable box, dvd, printer, router, modem and fax, pretty lucky really.

Ok, well, I've got a full tray of marg and some cinnamon, pumpkin cookies.
Can I join the festivities too?
Welcome, I'm pretty new here too so I'm glad you joined so they will stop hazing me. They made me kiss a possum and eat road kill :D (the kiss part is a lie but it sounds good huh?)
Yum :marg: and coffee.
Well, I finished painting Rachel's room last night. Never paint an OCD kid's room. She had to go over it 3x's to look for holidays. She is still up for adoption by the way; but, I have to warn you she's expensive.
Sad news: my childhood friend's mom died on Friday. I got an email b/c she couldn't reach me by phone. I've known her since Kindergarten :old: Her kidney's failed and she refused dialysis. You all know my dad, Bret's dad and Angel's dad are all doing poorly so it's been stressful. My dad actually improved in the last couple of weeks, Friday he took a short walk outside. Please remember them all in your prayers.
Ok, can't end on a sad note. Back to camp. I used to teach gymnastics and dance(any of you that have met me may have noticed I have a prissy side, I think it was too much dance) and coached softball. I think Pogo would be cute in a pink tutu. Hmm, I know I had an extra large one somewhere (they are kiddie sizes). :trio:
So what flavor snowball do you want?? I have 48 flavors. My favorite is mango.

Wow, it took a new thread to get some new JQ enrollees huh? Welcome Traci and Marilyn.

By the way Marilyn, I loved your comment in the water cooler about just sitting on the front stoop to be cremated in AZ. That would be a good line for last comic standing.

Our initiation haras...um orientation... will begin shortly. Pogo's in charge of new inductees. He'll also be glad that there's finally somebody older than him on board (I won't mention any names, so don't worry Marilyn).

Has anybody been in touch with Alex lately? I'm getting worried about him being AWOL so long.

Marilyn, welcome from :old: Beth ;) I have some Popsicle sticks for you and they are already half dyed and kind of sticky. Can I build POC? I can make it look like DL w/ the N.O. theme. Do I have to make it look like WDW? I got some dreads to make this stick look like Johnny Depp. Oh wait wait.... I made this one a POGO STICK :rotfl: He's in the long line...
Yum burnt smores, my favorite and a new snowball flavor, can anyone help me squeeze some smores into this bottle??? Let's add the tequila to make it easier to pour.
Marilyn, I thought of you the other day. I helped my dd w/ Kennels at the vet's and there was a dog named Bentley :( except it wasn't a Bassett he is a Shiz tzu.

So Ken you live by the beach? Is that an invitation? The thing that makes me jealous is snow. :envy:

Oh and we don't need to save the popicle sticks I have plenty to go around! DD and DS save them and they eat a lot of popicles! Sugar free only, they don't need that kind of sugar!

MsMin, I'd like a strawberry snow cone PLEASE!! Maybe with a little of Marilyn's Tequila!
I could definitely use help in the mess hall! Rice and beans sounds yummy! Would go great with my Mexican Lasagna we had last night!

And yes you can have seconds of the strawberry shortcake! Maybe I should make some more!

What's this about eating road kill? Did it taste like chicken? I went to a place call The Road Kill Cafe when I was in college! But, it was college for some reason I can't remember what I ate...

Traci, you can have all the cake you want! I think I definitely need to go to the grocery store! I won't tell if you glue your fingers! I'm pretty crafty myself!

I trying to teach myself to sew right now! It's going pretty well. Except the 7 year old fashion queen (AKA my DD Dorothy) thinks the neck of her pillowcase dress is too high!

Pogo can cut the cake, but I get to choose my piece, OK?

Great to have a cook on board!

Can we trust him with a knife? I think we should measure the pieces! 1 inch a piece for each serving. We don't need the kids fighting!Of course 2nds and 3rds if you want!

No, school's out for the summer. Unless you're one of those who needs a few catchup credits.

Nah. Oddly enough, most of the titles have no ? in them. I think the word 'Questions' suffices for titles.

I'll take on the crafts and archery. I volunteer for flag duty - I already deal with the "mess hall" too much at home.

Has anybody been in touch with Alex lately? I'm getting worried about him being AWOL so long.
Who's in charge of tracking down Alex?

Pogo can cut the cake, but I get to choose my piece, OK?

My mom used to do this with my sister and I. One got to cut - and other chose first. Believe me....those pieces were EXACTLY equal!! :D

Wow! Lots of newbies here, and so far no :nono: !! Welcome all! Sounds like you have figured us out! (not that we are all that complicated folks).
Todays is a bit cloudy - no, REAL cloudy, but no rain so far. I'm afraid DD got wet at camp last night down on the coast, but it looks like that will be all the wet stuff for her. She gets home late Tuesday.

So who wants to help make strawberry freezer jam today? I have enough berries for about 3 batches, I think.

Welcome to the newcomers. Glad to see you made it to JQU Traci! You got a full-ride scholarship based on your being from New England!...I LOVE my job! HAHAHA!

Hope everyone is doing well. I leave for Korea next Tuesday. After going to my best friend's wedding in Seoul, I will go to Tokyo Disneyland July 7-9. I will be back with pictures and such as of the 10th. But for now, it's another week of waiting for phonecalls from potential jobs, and aimlessly searching the internet for positions to apply for and email out my resume!! Fun stuff!

It wasn't the wind that was shaking the building (and I don't even live in a house...this is a solid, brick, 6-story building!) or setting of (MANY) car alarms, it was the THUNDER! It was SOOO loud and rumbly! And it poured!

So grego... have you applied to work in admissions at a local college? You DID put JQU admissions on your resume, right?

Anyone up for a campfire tonight??? I have lots of firewood and we just bought some nice new chairs too!! (now it will rain for sure ;) )

And thanks for the welcome!! You guys are great fun!!

I'm up for that, it's cold and damp since the storm hit. But first I'm going to go watch a movie. Does anyone want some popcorn?

What would we do without Google?

Yes, that's the SAME SONG!

It's called "The Bug" by Dire Straits.

Here's part of it:

Well it's a strange old game - you learn it slow
One step forward and it's back to go
You're standing on the throttle
You're standing on the breaks
In the groove 'til you make a mistake

Sometimes you're the windshield
Sometimes you're the bug
Sometimes it all comes together baby
Sometimes you're a fool in love
Sometimes you're the louisville slugger
Sometimes you're the ball
Sometimes it all comes together baby
Sometimes you're going to lose it all

Everyone enjoying their weekend? :mickey:

Yes - I got your email and will respond tomorrow....I just had to post this in here since I'm too lazy to log back into gmail, okay? :)

Gosh, lots of new victims, sorry blood, sorry people

I'll run the camp tennis lessons for everyone except Pogo, because he will need a suit of armour if he gets on court with me ;)

I'm running a weekend event next weekend when the highlight and finale is lunch at my place. Well, if we get good weather we should be down on our decking (http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3262/2602201176_ca385564fa_o.jpg) by the river. If it rains it won't be such a highlight :D Anyone want to join us next Sunday? There's already going to be over twenty folks so a few more can sneak in no problem

I gotta build some extra goody shelves. Can somebody pass the nail gun?

Nail Gun! No nail gun! DH has one of those and It scares me! I'll stick with good elbow grease! Can you say ER?!

Fun stuff!

Sounds like a fun trip! I can't wait to see pics of TDL! Good luck with the job search!

Thanks, extra whipped cream please.

Hi gang, just a quick zoop to let you know we're back. Did ya'll miss me?

I'll try to get trip reports up soon, so as to not forget things. As it is, the days are running together in my head. Suffice it to say, it truly was a trip of dreams come true. We had so much fun, I'm just amazed at how everything seemed to exceed our expectations.

I will say this, Pogo and whomever may be planning the mini-golf tournament for the December meet: if that's still on, I would suggest Winter/Summerland for a large gathering. Not that there was anything wrong with Fantasia Gardens, it was great, but I think Winter/Summerland and transportation if people are using Disney transport will work a little better for a large group.

That's all for now, do we have new faces? I only read this page of our new thread. Welcome to all newcomers to JQU!

I love days when I get stuff done, especially when it's my creative stuff!! I scrapbooked 5 pages, did my laundry, housecleaning, and made Gilles salmon cakes for lunch. I still might make some crab cakes later if we're in the mood for it.

Afternoon all, my my haven't we been busy? Today was pretty uneventful. I rested some, had lunch, cleaned up the house, etc. Mike did some work outside, same old same old.

I did talk to our accountant today at work and she talked to the doctor who believes that in her heart of hearts the whole PA thing is the right thing to do. I'm still whole heartedly against it, but I guess at this point what can I do? At least she's not starting until September so either she will find another job or somewhere along the line I'll find some respect for her and want to work with her. I guess we'll just have to see. *sigh*

Think I'm going to go make some brownies, I'll bring some by when I'm done. Have a good evening all

Was that a weekend? I'm positive yesterday was just friday! Its been a busy, but productive weekend. We made it to farmers market, I made 20 cups of strawberry freezer jam (got a little carried away - anyone want some?), saw Narnia: Prince Caspian, and moved our wine to the second fermentation stage. Whew! I think I need a weekend to recover from my weekend.

:dizzy: Glad to see you survived the experience! I just crawled back in bed while I was on hold... good thing I didn't fall asleep before they picked up!!

I'd do almost anything for you Diane. :fresh: Can I get you a Hostess Twinkie ??? ;)

Got Le Cellier on the 9th around 4 something for the 6:15 show. I guess it was LeCellier, the CM kept calling tiit "The Canadian Steakhouse".

What is up wth that? Are they changing the name?

Good morning Campers! Anybody up for some english muffin bread toasted to a golden brown with nice sweet butter?

:rotfl: (Hi Shari... I have to give a special shout out to you, since you live in one of my favorite corners (literally :)) of the world!! We won't be up your way this year, as we gave up our week on Orrs for WDW in December... but at least we'll get as far as York in August. Hope you're having a wonderful beginning to your summer up there!!)

Were you talking to me? Traci? If so thanks and I'm glad you think we're special enough to come see every year. I remember you mentioning you come to Orr's every year. Hey, have you ever eaten at Fat Boy's?

Hey newbies......... did you know Deb has an accent ???? :D

Hey around here almost everyone Pahks their cah and drinks soder so it can't be that bad ;) Well, gotta go put the pretzels in the oven to melt the hershey hugs on them and then clean out the spare room for the grandbaby to move back in :yay: But I'll bring some snacks later if anyone wants them. Oh well, I'm sure when I'm not a JQ stuff there will be tons of Mousefest things to do. I can't wait!

So how is everyone's Monday going so far? Looks like everyone has been on the phone making ADRs. We got ours all set, not going to be dining before the CP that I know of, might just catch it on the fly. I can't believe how much I'm "winging" this trip, so not like me!! :D

So - how did your "wonderful" day start??? Curious minds want to know...

Well I went to the grocery store this morning, and although I know 6:45 is a little early to do grocery shopping the woman at the register was such a nitwit, really made my day start off crazy. She overcharged me, then made me fill out all this paperwork for the refund like I was returning something, then forgot half of my groceries in front of her register, it was very exhasperating!!!

You didn't invite us to Ohanas, CP, nada. It's ok, I'm sure that between Crystal Palace, mini golf, and Coral Reef I'll be quite sick of you! ;) I know we can't all go to everything or there would be too many JQers there and we would drive everyone at WDW crazy. No worries, I know you don't love me that much, I'll get over it! :(

So what's for lunch? Going to lunch with my best friend again today. We have an extended lunch since my doctor is going to be at the lawyer's office signing the contract with the PA I don't want her to hire. Oh well, it is what it is!!

Have a great day

My friends and I have ressies together at Crystal Palace and the fish tank restaurant :D
We will play golf together and I will come in possum's butt, but I don't care because I'll be with people that love me and I have fun with.

Pogo and his circle of 6 will be there. Whoever they are, they are still my friends. Even if I got disconnected, fell off a chair and almost broke my little red neck trying to get reservations.;)

I gotta build some extra goody shelves. Can somebody pass the nail gun?
I have a 12 gauge, I think it holds two nails, I also have a "liquid nail" gun if that helps.

Only if it's from the popcorn cart at the entrance to Main Street USA.

yummmmm... I have a bunch of WDW containers and I can get a big bag of fresh popcorn from walmart.... that's the closest I can get... WDW popcorn that's Walmart-Disney World popcorn....Hey, I can pretend can't I??

I'll run the camp tennis lessons for everyone except Pogo, because he will need a suit of armour if he gets on court with me.
I'm running a weekend event next weekend when the highlight and finale is lunch at my place. Well, if we get good weather we should be down on our by the river. If it rains it won't be such a highlight. Anyone want to join us next Sunday?
Love the deck, I would love to come by. Are you close enough to Chichester so I can stop by to see my friend there? I need a new passport though. Are we playing tennis close to the river? I'm sure to hit half of the balls in the water

Hi gang, just a quick zoop to let you know we're back. Did ya'll miss me?
Welcome back Scott, can't wait to read about your trip!

I love days when I get stuff done, especially when it's my creative stuff!! I scrapbooked 5 pages, did my laundry, housecleaning.
Wish I was that productive w/ my scrapbooking and housework. I'm still in 2005 (with both).

Think I'm going to go make some brownies, I'll bring some by when I'm done. Have a good evening all
Sorry that PA thing isn't working out like you hoped... can you throw some M&M's in the brownies... I love chocolate...

We made it to farmers market, I made 20 cups of strawberry freezer jam (got a little carried away - anyone want some?)Anyone want any strawberry shortcake? We seem to have an abundance of strawberries
yum strawberies...

YEAH woohoo...no school..no driving..no buses!!!!!... I won't tell you that my kids have been out of schools since June 6th
My DD8 got a call from the Mayor of our town during dinner..... he asked her to sing the National Anthem before the fireworks start on the 4th of July... How cool is that??
Congrats to your dd!! Our kids have been out since mid May... it's about time to go back..

Bucks Fizz - champagne and orange juice. And it was good
We call that a mimosa here. Love em!

I'll help! Where do you want me to start?!

My best sewing tip... iron every seam open when after you sew it. It helps me feel like it doesn't look so homemade and keeps my confidence up!

It was great!! Not a lot of sleep, but Emma's party was really fun, she had a great time and I don't have to plan anything anymore, so that's a relief, too! And for those who asked,
So - what's up for everyody today?? Did you all get t'storms last night? Ours were pretty amazing... why do they always come at 3am???
Enjoyed the recital pics... brings back memories. Loved the cake... so so cute...
Our TS's have been late afternoon. That's about how long it takes for it to roll up from the gulf!

Hey, who's up for helping move the furniture?
We still have to move Rachel's desk out of here. oh.. my back... Shhh! her desk doesn't match her bedroom set.. She's having a cow...

:envy: perfect weather huh? if we don't get any more TS today it may hit 98 again... Steam...
You all trust me with archery??? with real points not the suction cups? I'm a great shot but I get distracted real easy... I don't know many ppl that would trust me with a real arrow....

Vacation plans here are worse than talking politics. We have to cancel the trip to WDW w/ my folks, my dad just isn't going to make it:(
I want to go to WDW w/ you guys but don't want to go alone ( my kids like to stick together and keep to tradition if I take them and Rachel will be in school). Hey and how is everyone?

Welcome to all the newbies (Hey Marilyn! :hi: )

Euan graduated from Nursery school this morning (but still has one more day of class on Wednesday) and Harry's teacher let him join us to watch the ceremonies. It was to have been outside, but some kids climbed the fence and partied in the kids playground and behind the shed, so there was broken glass and far worse throughout the grounds. We had it indoors, and it was still really nice.

Kind-of reminds me of all the times I go to certain stores and the people running the registers are "talking" between themselves as they ring you up... I've had stuff rung up twice, missed, dropped... plus, it takes twice the time as they pause to stop ringing and turn to their friend to emphasize something they're saying... forever.... then they act all put out when you're standing there trying to hand them your coupons and your card, you've already bagged all your own stuff and put it back in the cart and are pretty much ready to fly... (and doesn't it ALWAYS happen when you're in a hurry??? )

Well.. I think I'll take advantage of this summer camp and go enjoy the great outdoors! Who wants to join me?

Bad dieting?! I just ate a salad for lunch! Great! But, dessert was chocolate ice cream straight from the container!

I could definitely use some of that outdoor activity and some nice fresh air. It's gonna have to be on your side of camp. My side is storm with a sky dark as night!

Hey! My post got totally messed up!

I guess it's the natural blonde in me, or as a former coworker used to say "the loose nut behind the keyboard!" Uggh!!

Is anyone else having one of those days? Or is it just me?

Blythe, what I wanted to say, but failed miserably at it, is your girls are adorable!!! I wish my DD keep dancing! We made it through 2 months of lessons, a little girl in the class fell and bit through her lip (lots of blood) and DD wouldn't go back. Dancing was way too dangerous!!! I also LOVE the cake!! Am I supposed to invite you to somebody else's party ???? The only place I'm going that I made the ressies for is Le Cellier on the night you are leaving.

Um, yeah....I'll crash anyone's party!!! :D

Euan graduated from Nursery school this morning
That's the cutest thing I think I've ever heard...sweet baby boy!

(and doesn't it ALWAYS happen when you're in a hurry??? )

Oh, she was doing that too!! UGH!!

So how was lunch? I went to a place called Sweet Tomatos for lunch with my best friend. It's like a salad bar type place. Very good...now it's back to the grind for the afternoon. I'll check in later

It is even worse when your kids can hear and start asking questions you just don't want to answer!! DD5 was with me in line at the grocery store when the teen in front was talking way too loud... next thing I know DD is asking "Mommy whats a Hickey for?"

Hope your lunch is good!! We are having grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup!! Anyone want some?

Ouch.. did you convince her that the person said "Mickey" and not 'hickey"?

Grilled cheese sounds yummy! I have some White American cheese at home - wanna use that?

yum strawberies...

We have to cancel the trip to WDW w/ my folks, my dad just isn't going to make it:(

POTC ... popsicle raft complete.. who wants to be first down the waterfall??? Hey the water isn't that cold.. come on...
Have a great day all....

Wanna split a case of fresh strawberries with me? They are our produce special right now.. 8lb case for just $13.95! I'm dying for some strawberry soup!

What kind of cow is she having? A deep fried one? BBQd? Broiled? Baked?

Sorry your weather is so hot... if I can find it I'll break out my super duper high powered industrial fan and try to blow some of this cool air your way..

I am so very very sorry to hear about your dad. I'll be praying for you and your family.

I would ride your popsicle raft.. but according to Pogo I may weigh just a bit too much...

Euan graduated from Nursery school this morning (but still has one more day of class on Wednesday) and Harry's teacher let him join us to watch the ceremonies.
Scott -- did you have a fantabulous time?:mickey:

Congrats to Euan!!! How awesome! Did you cry?

Not sure Scott will be around to answer... he's quite swamped with paperwork (I offered to send him some hurricane force winds to blow them all away...)... but I talked to him last night and they had an awesome and magical time! Hopefully he'll work his way out of his piles, be able to find his computer, and post a trip report with pictures! (esp. the one his wonderful and awesome daughter took of Prince Caspian!!!)

Bad dieting?! I just ate a salad for lunch! Great! But, dessert was chocolate ice cream straight from the container!

I could definitely use some of that outdoor activity and some nice fresh air. It's gonna have to be on your side of camp. My side is storm with a sky dark as night!

You had to fit your daily requirement of dairy in somehow - right? ;)

Come on over to my side of camp! It's awesome outside! Sunshine, nice breeze, about 75 degrees or so! Like I said.. picture perfect!

I'm definitely up for some good outdoor camp activities! I could use the fresh air, and the exercise! Who wants to join me in the sail boat!

Let's take the canoe.... I'll even row... I need the exercise since Pogo said I've gotten bigger... :D

Anyone go for a walk this morning? :walk:

:walk:I did at lunchtime!:walk:

Euan graduated from Nursery school this morning (but still has one more day of class on Wednesday) and Harry's teacher let him join us to watch the ceremonies. It was to have been outside, but some kids climbed the fence and partied in the kids playground and behind the shed, so there was broken glass and far worse throughout the grounds. We had it indoors, and it was still really nice.

Congratulations to your youngest, I hope too many tears weren't shed. ;)

Is anyone else having one of those days? Or is it just me?

Oh yes, totally........our office had its furniture moved over the weekend for new paint and carpeting...Guess who had to unpack everything? I've been going nonstop since I got in @ 7:30am. My head hurts from the fumes and I'm just plain EXHAUSTED. I can't wait to relax tonight!

Oh brother...... your going to fit in here just fine ! Just what we need.... another smarty pants.

But why do you have a car and a half ???? And is it also a possum killer like Jym's ????

Thanks a lot, have you ever seen "In Between the Lions" on PBS? (we're a non-cable family ) Now I have that silly song, "ooh aahh, dance in smarty pants" stuck in my head. It's far worse than IASW.

My ego wouldn't fit in one car, that's why I neded that extra half;) I plead the fifth on the possum killing car :secret:

Well I went to the grocery store this morning, and although I know 6:45 is a little early to do grocery shopping the woman at the register was such a nitwit, really made my day start off crazy. She overcharged me, then made me fill out all this paperwork for the refund like I was returning something, then forgot half of my groceries in front of her register, it was very exhasperating!!!

That always happens to me at Wal-Mart.

You caught on quick! Have you been lurking long?

I'll be there! Just gotta fashion a decoy out of this stack of papers and my sweater so my supervisor will think I'm still at my desk...

If Pogo would stop talking long enough and eat the popsicles faster we would be just about done.. :D

I haven't been a lurker, just a quick study. Pogo talks to much? Go figure.

Thankfully it's not a convertible, with skin like mine I be red as sin in 5 minutes. Sorry about canceling the trip with your folks.

Just make sure you ask if the tomatoes have been cleared and deemed safe by the FDA!

Are we gonna sing songs around the camp fire :camp: tonight? Anyone know the Triple R song?

:sing: Way out there on the Triple R. Yippee yay, yippee yo,
The horses are the best by far. Yippee yay, yippee yo.
So saddle up boys and saddle up well,
And listen to the story that I have to tell.

How is the afternoon going? Seems like mine will never end.

So I have real legitimate questions.

1. Is anyone going to decorate their hotel room in WDW for their Dece trip?

2. Are you going to decorate your house before or after you get back from WDW in Dec?

Ok, I'm out...talk to you all later

Blythe, what I wanted to say, but failed miserably at it, is your girls are adorable!!! I wish my DD keep dancing! We made it through 2 months of lessons, a little girl in the class fell and bit through her lip (lots of blood) and DD wouldn't go back. Dancing was way too dangerous!!! I also LOVE the cake!! Soo cute!!

Thank you!! And that is too cute about your DD....

I don't think I know who that is,but he should be afraid, very afraid.......

2. We'll decorate the house before we go... I always get everything out right after T'giving. But we won't get our tree 'til we get back - :( - I'll really miss having it before we go!! so, I'm going to make sure I'm off the night after we get back so we can run out and get one before they're totally gone!!

And for those who asked, here are pics of the cake (http://picasaweb.google.com/Blytheny/EmmaSBirthday) and I also promised a few pics from the recital (http://picasaweb.google.com/Blytheny/RecitalPics). So how is everyone's Monday going so far?
I'm glad it's over and done with. It's my last Monday and I had to tell my friends what is going on for next month. Needless to say they were ticked. You'll get to meet them all in December as they are "my friends" in the list.

If that is right, Pogo doesn't like me either.:(

My friends and I have ressies together at Crystal Palace and the fish tank restaurant :D
We will play golf together and I will come in possum's butt, but I don't care because I'll be with people that love me and I have fun with.

Pogo doesn't like me either Deb & Sarah. ;)

Ok! You are s

All I can say is, thank goodness his hair grew back in! Makes it easier to balance the apple!

Wish I was that productive w/ my scrapbooking and housework. I'm still in 2005 (with both).

Well, time to make dinner. Which reminds me. Di, I saw a great quote today to help you with your weight loss journey: "The road towards progress is always under construction." Be kind to yourself, please.

Gosh...everyone is so talkative today! It took me a while to catch up! Campfires are great...but they're better with ghost stories (boy can I tell you a couple!) and smores...yummmmm! :mickey:

Emily...I'm waiting for your email haha!

Anyone gonna see Wall-E on Friday? I researched and found that one movie theater is doing a midnight showing Thurs nite, so I got a couple tickets! Can't wait! :D

Aww no! I got a really block of mickey fabric, 24 inches by 24 inches for a few dollars on ebay. I'm not using until I know for sure I know what I'm doing! It's discontinued and reallllllly cute!

What about making it into a toss pillow? One that just sits on the floor or bed for a decoration. You can put a square of plain fabric on the back that matches a color in the front. Id' suggest making into a quilted wallhanging, but I don't want to get too complicated for you.

:stop::eyes::jaw:

Ken, this shocks you, why? Weren't you a park ranger for awhile? You never seen anyone skinny dipping? Or were you thinking of Pogo in the buff? :D

Man oh Man can you guys :blah: ! No wonder the site was down this evening - you guys burned up the server!

Our TS's have been late afternoon. That's about how long it takes for it to roll up from the gulf!

Perfect weather huh? if we don't get any more TS today it may hit 98 again... Steam...

OK, I think I've been doing too much planning for December - I was reading TS for Table Serve!

Wanna split a case of fresh strawberries with me? They are our produce special right now.. 8lb case for just $13.95!
No thanks! I finally used up all but a pint of the flat we bought this weekend! Anyone want any freezer jam??? I have PLENTY!

:walk:I did at lunchtime!:walk:
Me too. I go about 1 1/2 - 2 miles along the waterfront.

Pogo doesn't like me either Deb & Sarah. ;)

I'm not sure I'm on his good list either...

Is it safe to give all the JQ's a little tequila?
Sure! I'm sure we are all WELL over 21, right?

Hey everyone.............:secret:..... can you keep it down ?? I'm trying to sleep.

Hey Pogo - Have a good sleep!

Very rough day at work. My LAN connection, and all my accesses to various programs were disabled! According to the IT guys, my recertification was not done.. Its hard to know it needs to be done, if nobody tells you... So - no email (which may be a good thing), no printing (since it goes through the network). Can't say that it will be back tomorrow. Can I just stay home?

OOOOOOOHHHH I'M SO EXCITED!!!

OK, better
:funny: :rotfl: I totally know that feeling...

I wish!! I just think he is SOOOOO adorable.... the previews make me laugh so hard, I just cannot wait to see it. But alas, the girls and I will be on a long vacation weekend in NYC so it will have to wait 'til we get home.

So - guess what? About that NYC weekend... it was a total surprise for our girls, which is why I never mentioned it on here, as little miss DD9 going on 13 likes to read over my shoulder on occasion. ;) But one of my girlfriends (who has 3 girls of her own b/w the ages of 7 and 12) and I, and my MiL, are caravaning down to NYC early Friday morning to take the girls to the American Girl Place for their birthdays -- we're having dinner there after a day of shopping, and then we're staying Friday and Saturday nights and enjoying the sites on Saturday and maybe Sunday!! :cloud9: I can't wait!! (And hopefully meeting up with Ellen on Saturday or whenever she can come in... that'll be the best!! Ellen, I'll try to call you Wednesday.... ) The friend I'm travelling with is a teacher who plans a Washington DC trip every year for the 8th graders, so her TA owed her a favor, and our rooms at our hotel are free!! We're staying at a Hyatt Regency that is brand new and is right on the Hudson River, overlooking Manhattan... I'm so excited, I haven't been to NYC since I was in college!! :woohoo:

Okay... calmer now....

Hey everyone.............:secret:..... can you keep it down ?? I'm trying to sleep.

See you all in the morning....
Hey pogo... CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW??? :D

Okay, sorry... all that extra espresso in my coffee's getting to me... :secret:

OH my gosh you are going to have so much fun!!! I love when DD has auditions and we spend the day in the city!! Can't beat a free hotel either!! That is soooo awesome.....

Anyone got any doggie valium?? We had a TS and our lights went out for 2 hours... my dog cujo (a mini snzer) is a wimp and is petrified of rain nevermind the thunder bolts (I have never seen a dog shake like him).... and just as it is stopping the rain I think BLYTHE just sent him back behind the couch with that Espresso induced scream to wake up poor sleeping POGO.

Why's everybody yelling? I'm trying to play video games here.

You betcha... I was up at 6:58, and had mine by 7:10!! (Was anyone else surprised at how early the meals are before the shows?? Guess we'll have time for a few rides, etc., afterwards!!) Then I went back to bed... 4 1/2 hours of sleep yesterday meant I was just a tad drowsy this morning when I called....
Yeah!

O
Hey Pogo - if you want those steaks just give me your CC info and I'll make sure you are all set! :DI still have it from the ATM thing, I'll PM it to you.

Sorry to hear about your Dad.
But if you come to WDW in December, I promise you won't be alone. I think there are 42 of us total.
Now that was sweet... I guess I forgive you.. thanks...

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad and your trip...

I'll go down... anything's better than folding laundry...
thanks... I think I ate enough :bar: to keep us afloat... meanwhile, my laundry is wrinkling in the dryer as I type.... Wrinkles are in.. lets go for that ride!

Wanna split a case of fresh strawberries with me? They are our produce special right now.. 8lb case for just $13.95! I'm dying for some strawberry soup!
I love strawberries. I would love strawberry soup.
I'll make the omelets and cajun hashbrowns for breakfast. Who can make that Mickey ICON with the cream.....

What kind of cow is she having? A deep fried one? BBQd? Broiled? Baked?
I have pictures of her with pork production and it's not pretty (the AI). I think she likes her cow on the grill....

Sorry your weather is so hot... if I can find it I'll break out my super duper high powered industrial fan and try to blow some of this cool air your way..
We will have a cooler week this week only 94.

I am so very very sorry to hear about your dad. I'll be praying for you and your family.
 thank you so much.

I would ride your popsicle raft.. but according to Pogo I may weigh just a bit too much...

That man really likes to gamble huh... Doesn't he know you have friends....

My ego wouldn't fit in one car, that's why I neded that extra half I plead the fifth on the possum killing car
I haven't been a lurker, just a quick study. Pogo talks to much? Go figure.
Thankfully it's not a convertible, with skin like mine I be red as sin in 5 minutes. Sorry about canceling the trip with your folks.
..
:rotfl: I think pogo's reputaton exceeds this thread...
Thanks so much...

Don't you think our campfire song should be 'It's a small world'?
My favorite... can't we get those little music boxes that play IASW and incorporate it into our crafts tomorrow??

I just love my hubby! I bought Gage a Little Tykes pick-up truck at a yard sale this weekend for $4. The headlights, tail lights and other decals were all stripped off.
My dear hubby cleaned it up and today, at work, made decals on his computer at work. It is so cute! He even put his name on it!
Is it tired in here or is it me?
I want to see pics... I'm tired too maybe it's the company we keep...

:rotfl:
We're having grilled shrimp with Thai Sweet Chili Sauce (or Ben might go with some plain ol' BBQ sauce), broccoli and white rice; pineapple for dessert. Anyone want some?
you laugh but it's true...
yum that thai sauce sounds great. I had left over chicken and potatoes... and to think ppl come down here to eat...

Congrats!! My DS graduates from preschool Wednesday night! He's walking around singing all the songs he learned to sing that night! Soooo cute!

I'm glad it's not just me! DD completely freaked out this morning! I mean freaked. DS is sick and our puppy has forgotten he's housebroken! Uggh!

Is it safe to give all the JQ's a little tequila?
Congrats to your DS... hope my pups don't get that news... it could get messy quick..
Have you ever seen me on tequila? Yeah, my limit is about 1/2 shot... and I will tell anyone anything... wait ... I do that w/o tequila...

Beth you really should consider going solo if you could swing it.......

It's the mommy guilt that I have the most trouble with. I don't want to use all the DVC pts on just me. Our calendar year is Dec. 1.

OK, I think I've been doing too much planning for December - I was reading TS for Table Serve!
No thanks! I finally used up all but a pint of the flat we bought this weekend! Anyone want any freezer jam??? I have PLENTY!

oh just rub it in... TS, strawberries... our peak season is March here.

Just give the pup some of that tequila pie... it's cheaper than doggie Valium. My Chloe is so afraid of TS too. That's why we got Max to keep her company... I'm not sure about the company, she is still afraid of thunder but now we have Reilly and Mr. Brisby too.

Well, I canceled the reservations today for the Oct. trip. I think it's easier this way b/c it is putting too much pressure on everyone.
You know what they say when one window closes another opens.... I asked if they had any AKV available. Some of you may remember that I promised Rachel (dd23) a stay at AKL if she got into vet school back in 2004 .... Well they had a studio with a Savannah view :simba: So Rachel and I will take a separate vacation and I'm planning a quick trip to the Bahama's and a brief stay at AKV(2 nights) before she starts school. I had to use up 28 points before our calendar year so it makes me happy too.
I'm exhausted.... sorry if I skipped anyone.. My son's friend had a tank tragedy... we both have marine aquariums... I just spent the last 5 hours in 30 gallons of stinky dead fish water  We tried to save as much as we could... We carted 50lbs of live rock and a tank and pumps to my house and transferred the living stuff to my tank.
Can you smell anything fishy????
sorry I think it's me... :nemo:

Vacation plans here are worse than talking politics. We have to cancel the trip to WDW w/ my folks, my dad just isn't going to make it:(
I want to go to WDW w/ you guys but don't want to go alone ( my kids like to stick together and keep to tradition if I take them and Rachel will be in school). Rachel wants a cruise, Christin says any place but Florida or sun...she wants London or San Fransisco. Rhett says not til after Nov. or later and Rachel can't go after Aug. 15th. We need a good therapist :D Maybe I should just put all the possibilities in a hat and we should pull one out. When Rhett was little he said when he grew up he would only have 1 kid so he could go to WDW more often... how true..

Beth, I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. I'm sorry about your dad.
It sounds like your children are groing up too. Last October was my first trip to an Intercot meet. DD Amy announced she would not let me go to WDW to meet "some people I met on the net" without her. She came with me and brought a friend. DD Laura had just had a baby and needed to work, she had to stay home. Sometimes the choices we make choose our destiny.Ooooh , good one, I sound like Frankie);)
We ( hubby and I)are planning a December trip with Amy and her DBF(Dustin). Gage may be with us to help his mom out. Amy will be out of school and on her own (sort of). Laura will be in school ( hooray!)and working.
When Laura finishes school, end of August 09
we will take her with Gage.

I know I rambled alot, but my point is sometimes you have to divide and enjoy one child at a time.

 Now I see your last post! You and Rachel will be at AKL soon, very soon!

Will that get you to WDW with us in December?:D

:walk:I did at lunchtime!:walk:

Oh yes, totally........our office had its furniture moved over the weekend for new paint and carpeting...Guess who had to unpack everything? I've been going nonstop since I got in @ 7:30am. My head hurts from the fumes and I'm just plain EXHAUSTED. I can't wait to relax tonight!

I walked this morning...but only from the train station to work, which is about a half mile or so up a hill, so I guess it counts. Then, at the end of the day, I walked back down to the train station. In the humidity. I felt gross.

I can relate to the packing thing. We are packing up our classrooms. It is straight up exhausting. At least while you are unpacking, you are not responsible for the behavior of 16+ 6 and 7 year olds. I was at work from 7:30a-5:30p. I was asleep by about 8:30 last night! Of course, I didn't have to deal with fumes...only GIANT dust bunnies. It took 3 times of washing my hands/arms up to my elbows before I felt clean enough to go home!

So - guess what? That reminds me of my SIL. When her youngest was getting ready to leave home to go to college she decided that she needed to learn a craft. She went out and bought a sewing machine, she had used her grandmothers treadle sewing machine when she was little, but nothing since then. She called me up and asked what the simplest thing to sew was. I had told her pj bottoms, because they are the easiest. The next time I called her(she lives in Iowa and me Canada) she told me she was going to make a quilt for her first grandchild. Now she's quilting!!! She has never done anything but quilts and I'm SO proud of her. Her cousin and aunt had talked her into quilting, because they are big quilters. For a while she had been calling me when she needed help, but now she has found a local quilt store that helps her all the time. Sorry, I'm love quilting so much, I could talk about it for the longest time!!!

Have a good day everyone. I'm off to work again today, but then tomorrow I'm going up north for a couple days. Going to one of my favorite spots other than WDW, Mackinac Island.

Anyone gonna see Wall-E on Friday? I researched and found that one movie theater is doing a midnight showing Thurs nite, so I got a couple tickets! Can't wait! :DI have been so excited about Wall-E since I first heard of it. It seems so old school Disney, doesn't it? I have a gift card for the movie theatre that I have been saving for this weekend. Can't wait!!!! Anyone know if he's out and about at the Disney parks?

Me too. I go about 1 1/2 - 2 miles along the waterfront. I haven't been able to walk at lunch since March -- but I am getting some new orthotics (hopefully they will be in by next week). I need to get back up to speed for my trip out west!

So - guess what? About that NYC weekend... it was a total surprise for our girls, which is why I never mentioned it on here, as little miss DD9 going on 13 likes to read over my shoulder on occasion.
I am officially jealous :D. I hope you have a fantastic time! I just love NYC, but haven't been in almost 3 years. Happy Tuesday! How's everyone today? Did anyone sleep last night with all the noise going on? What was all that yelling for? Today is looking to be another very slow day. Yesterday I think I had a total of 10 calls the whole day. Hopefully business picks up.. else I'll be sleeping at my desk...

Or were you thinking of Pogo in the buff?

I'm thinking there maybe a few of us (No need to mention names - right Pogo, Ken) who probably can't even remember being 21... :D

I have been so excited about Wall-E since I first heard of it. It seems so old school Disney, doesn't it? I have a gift card for the movie theatre that I have been saving for this weekend. Can't wait!!!! Anyone know if he's out and about at the Disney parks?

From what I heard through friends who are there now is that this week is officially "Wall-E" week, and he's showing up at MGM (sorry I will never call it DHS!) and at Disneyland Park in California. When I was at Disneyland last year, I saw Remi and Emile near Haunted Mansion stopping for hugs and pictures, and that was around a month before the movie came out in theatres. So I'm SURE Wall-E is probably making his rounds! I can't WAIT for the movie!! All those hours in the Animation Academy in MGM and California Adventure with those previews of Wall-E have made me mildly obsessed!

Pogo, how'd you sleep last nite? I heard a lot of loud noises coming from your area...I think tonite you may need to sleep on your side! :secret: I don't know how Patti ever puts up with it!!!

Blythe your trip to NYC sounds very cool!

Is there still coffee about? Is pogo up yet?

Mar, I'm definately game....what date are you getting there? I should text and see where you are (I think you get there before us) and we should have rooms in the same building, then we could decorate...anyone else in???? The great POP decorating contest????

OOOOOOOHHHH I'M SO EXCITED!!!

OK, better

We will be there on the 10th. That would be cool if we could all get the same building too. I know that Deb and her group are staying at Pop as well. Right Deb?

Hope that the LAN connection is back up and running for you T&G, nothing like sitting around at work not being able to work. I'd say go home if it isn't back up & running. :D

Good morning my little chickadees. How is everyone this fine morning? Deb, if you need to get on a chair again today, let me know, I'll spot ya.You need to take care of you!

My morning has been wonderous! Well, with the exception of the baby moose that decided that the mustang must be his mama, it happened when I was on the way to the store this morning, I took pics on my cell, they didn't come out well but I will try to post them later anyway.

total surprise[/COLOR] for our girls, which is why I never mentioned it on here, as little miss DD9 going on 13 likes to read over my shoulder on occasion. ;) But one of my girlfriends (who has 3 girls of her own b/w the ages of 7 and 12) and I, and my MiL, are caravaning down to NYC early Friday morning to take the girls to the American Girl Place for their birthdays -- we're having dinner there after a day of shopping, and then we're staying Friday and Saturday nights and enjoying the sites on Saturday and maybe Sunday!!

Hey pogo... CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW??? :D

Okay, sorry... all that extra espresso in my coffee's getting to me... :secret:

I'm so jealous, you are going to have so much fun!

I can relate to the packing thing as well, as I said DD is moving back in and it's been so muggy that you need a shower after 5 minutes. YUK!

I think some of that yelling was me. Pogo, was it you that put the shaving cream in my hand while I was sleeping and then tickled my nose? I was blinded by gillette so the culprit got away! :nono:

If you're referring to the stop/shock smilies, somebody said something about not wanting to see anybody skinny dipping, so you might want to heed that one.

I LOVE flowers. You are so lucky to have such a long gardening season Mikki. I remember going over many times in February, and the spring flowers were already making their way out into the sun!

Lots of thunder out our way too Ken! I was home yesterday afternoon thank goodness, because there was quite a series of storms that passed through for about 90 minutes....we lost power for a half hour and everything..... Poor Tate is such a scaredy dog ..... I am glad that we were there for him. We actually took him with us to the school when we went to pick Harry up. I was afraid to leave him at home! I used to have a part-German Shepherd that was scared to death of thunder. He would tear the house to pieces. Our vet at the time prescribed what he called 'thunder pills'--a sedative that we could give him if we knew a storm was coming. When we first moved here and went through our first hurricane, we gave them to him and he did fine. We thought about taking a few ourselves about mid-storm. :D

My mom took up quilting probably 5 years ago. She's made each of her 7 grandkids a quilt, she made DS a beautiful Thomas the Tank Engine quilt that took her forever, luckily when he grows out of Thomas my littler one will be into it, a bunch of stuff for friends and co-workers, Christmas tree skirts, wall hangings etc. Its all beautiful! She used to make me and my sister dresses and thing when we were kids. She made me a dress I wore when I was a flower girl in my uncles wedding and a beautiful smocked dress that she "stayed up all night the night before to finish" for my firstday of kindergarten! Hopefully her talent will rub off!

Now, where are those cookies the new folk are supposed to be bringing???

I've got a batch in the oven! Mickey shaped sugar cookies! No joke!

OK Sis.... tell us why 1922 was special for you. Is that the year you met Jerry ??? :D

I can't seem to ever sleep late either. Even on vacation when I don't have to feed my doggies I'm still up around 5am or so...

Guilty conscience ???? My Mom always said if you had a guilty conscience, you'd have trouble sleeping. :D

Closest answer so far - they were Dahlia Figaro! Can you believe Figaro has his own flower type?

The only fat free I have is Jello, want some? You can even have some fat free cool-whip.

Sounds yummy to me! My tummy is already growling!

2. That was hurricane Diana, that was supposed to go up the coast and avoid us and then changed her mind and came right over top of us. Quite an experience.

Hmmm.... maybe it's in the name... Diane's are always so unpredictable! You just never know what a Diane will do! :D

And YES! That is a sign! Pack your bags, do not hesitate.. RUN to the airport and get yourself down to Disney!!!! The pony tail holder has spoken! :D

OOOH, puppies, can I come?

Oh, and last night when Bruce came to bed he asked if I had seen the pony tail holder that I had just taken off, it was on the bathroom counter. I said no, so he showed it to me and we took a pic with the cell phone, I think it's a sign :D

Absolutely....one recon mission to pick up puppies!! That is the COOLEST hidden Mickey. I wish DH would notice those at our house.

Anybody else have as much trouble as me giving themselves eyedrops?

DH had an eye injury a few years ago (they thought he might have ruptured his eyeball...yuck :ack:) but you would have thought that putting eyedrops in was the hardest thing he had ever done...finally I just had to prop him up in the chair and pry his eye open myself. Geez!

So how was lunch today? I went to lunch with my dad. Had an egg salad sandwich, was very good. Now let's get this afternoon over and done with shall we?

Anybody else have as much trouble as me giving themselves eyedrops?
Back before my two pregnancies pretty much eliminated my major allergy issues -- I had to put steroids in my eyes twice per day. The easiest way I found was to tilt my head back and squirt the stuff on my scrunched up inner corner, then I blinked several times whilst turning my head to the opposite side. It works. Trust me.

Hasn't this been the LONGEST day ever??? I was ready to go home about 6 hours ago!

I stopped by one set of plants and had to buy them. What do you think they were?

Darn... I was hoping it was a money plant! But I must say, that cat is one lucky duck, errrrr... dog, errrrr.... CAT!

I have some pink frosted animal crackers that DH bought las night and a fresh batch of brownies in the oven!! (we are a brownie family).
Are those the pink and white animal crackers with little round sprinkles? I used to buy them for DS and they were good! I'll take a brownie if there are still some left. Cause the ones I get here have no calories! :D

Could someone please make something that is fat free?
Di, the reason I love the food around here is because it's ALL fat-free and calorie-free.

Anybody else have as much trouble as me giving themselves eyedrops?
Why is that? The only way I've found to do it is to lie on my side and get them in the outside part. I just can't manage to do it looking straight up into the dropper.

Okay... I guess it's time to try logging on again, huh? Later!

Oooh! I want to see you too! My last day of work is Thursday and I'll be in the city on Friday for lunch. Do you want me to PM you my phone number?

Yes, definitely! I can't believe I forgot you're down there, too!! :D

Sounds like so much fun!!! You'll have a blast! Are you going to go to World of Disney?! It's a little bit of WDW in Manhattan.

Pluto (yes, our dogs name is Pluto) drank beer! DH spilled some and Pluto got a little before I got to him! Poor baby was loopy!

I'd love to, but I'm not sure... it'll depend on the other family's desires one way or the other and how much "extra" time we've got... they like Disney, but not quite as much as we do...

What a great name for your puppy... what kind is he??

I think you are hanging around Cindy a little too much.... don't you ????

I wish!! :D

Going to one of my favorite spots other than WDW, Mackinac Island.
Lucky you!! We went there for our first anniversary when we lived in Grand Rapids, and we just loved it... we'd really like to go back with the girls someday.

...nice job on surprising the girls (and most of us)...you just better make sure she's not reading over your shoulder when you discuss "other" things with us.

That's been hard, let me tell you!! I can't tell you how many times I've jumped and sent her away, totally confused... especially since I have our itinerary, ADR's, packing list, you name it... all on here, too!!

Can't wait!!!! Anyone know if he's out and about at the Disney parks?

We're tentatively planning an extra long weekend next Spring.....Somehow I don't think the American Girl store will be on our agenda (What is American Girl anyway?)..... Have a great time!
I sure hope so -- that would be awesome!!

I hope you guys get to go!! American Girl is a company that does 18" dolls that started out being "historical" dolls... each one from a certain time period with clothes, story books, etc... now it's grown into movies about the dolls and "regular" dolls you can get that can look like your daughter or baby dolls... they're cute. Anyway - they have massive stores in 3 or 4 big cities where you can shop, have a nice dinner, see a "theatre" show about the character dolls, have your doll's hair done, etc... so yes, you're right... definitely not up your guys' alley!! ;) But Ellen gave me a link to a place your guys might love, if they like the HM ride... it's called Jekyll and Hyde, and it's a pretty cool looking restaurant, I think in Manhattan. I bet you could Google it and find out more... otherwise, let me know and I'll try to forward you the link!

Yes guys We are at POP! We've sprung for preferred connecting rooms. We went through MJ. When the time draws near, we should swap cell #s, OK?

Most definitely, and actually mine is on my Facebook page.

We get there the 10th too, I guess the important thing now is what time do you guys get to MCO?

How cool is that? We get in at 9:35am as we have a 7am flight from Flint. Probably early than you coming from the west. What time do you get in Sarah?

I apologize that the moose pics are horrid, he ran as I was trying to get my cell out of my pocket but you can just make him out. On a bright note, I got a great pic of a turtle we found in the back yard. Of course we let him go right after.

How cool about seeing a moose, and yes I could make the little guy out from the pictures. We just had an eagle outside for the longest time near the water. He was one big boy.

We don't get in until around 3:00. Well let's exchange #s as we get closer and I'll contact you when we land and see what building you got put in and see if we can get close.

Anyone else in POP want to join our little monopoly of buildings?? :) Deb's in a preferred room so unless we get upgraded I have a feeling that's a no go, but maybe we can find out what building you're in and get the closest non-preferred to that!

Beth, I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. I'm sorry about your dad.
It sounds like your children are growing up too. Last October was my first trip to an Intercot meet. DD Amy announced she would not let me go to WDW to meet "some people I met on the net" without her. She came with me and brought a friend. DD Laura had just had a baby and needed to work, she had to stay home. Sometimes the choices we make choose our destiny.Ooooh , good one, I sound like Frankie)

Will that get you to WDW with us in December?
Thanks Deb, I'm sure I met your dd and her friend at the intercot illuminations party last Oct. I know you were right by me. I was guarding the cookies... I am familiar with that "mom.. you're meeting ppl you met on the internet???"
I wish one of these kids would get married... I want to come in Dec. I'm still trying to figure out how I can go with someone but not be obligated to entertain them

I'm so sorry about your Dad. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
It's gotten messy around here, that's for sure! He's 5 months old and was completely house broken! The worst thing is as he's gotten bigger so have the messes!
Doggies on Margarita pie, hmmm. The sugar might counter act the tequlia! That could get ugly! Pluto (yes, our dogs name is Pluto) drank beer! DH spilled some and Pluto got a little before I got to him! Poor baby was loopy!

Thanks, I think my dad is doing a little better. I think the diagnosis of parkinson's took a lot out of him emotionally. At least this week he has been standing up a few more times a day.
Oh glorious pups... :ack: I can't say I love Kennel duty. I helped Rachel a couple wks ago so she could finish fast on father's day. I was fine up to the first 3 or 4 kennels then ugh... and she did the bad ones... she says you get used to it but I don't know.... There is no easy solution. My little guy, Brisby, is under 3lbs, about the size of a chicken and a bladder as big as a walnut.... I love the name pluto..

I'm sure everyone else could ! I was referencing her numbers ! .... sort of !
Right Diane !
fella now what is this 1922?? :nono: :plot: I see a flat pogo in the future.... and I have many more tricks up my sleeve.

grandchild.

I can sew most anything, I did my sister's wedding dress, well one out of 5  and I've made a safari jacket... but I have never quilted .. I have always wanted to make a quilt...

Well you could stay at a Value Resort and make it a quick weekend trip?
Thanks, I'm working on it. (building the courage to go by myself) The other Louisiana gang is going in Nov... did they ask me????

I'll send you the recipe! It is soooooo good! Ummm... the omelets sound good.. but not sure on the cajun hashbrowns.. my tummy can't handle spicy.
Yeah. I think Pogo forgets that I have a VERY LARGE Italian family....

I would love the recipe. I can make the hashbrowns w/o a lot of spice but they do have the bell peppers and onion in them...
Hmmm. speaking of Italian families... I was around a lot of stinky dead fish last night... let me see if I can find a mackerel... Pogo would probably need a King Mackerel... Do you want to put it on his door step or should I???

Good morning, everyone!

Even overnight this is a chatty bunch!

How come when you can sleep a bit later, you don't? (Well, me at least)

Now it's time to log on to work. Have a great day, everyone!

Now, where are those cookies the new folk are supposed to be bringing???
sorry, I ate them all..

Beth sorry to hear about your Dad's health issues.
Will you all stop talking about strawberries it's making me itchy just reading that much about it.
Thanks for your thoughtfulness. Can you eat raspberries instead....?

Alive?

Lots of thunder out our way too Ken! I was home yesterday afternoon thank goodness, because there was quite a series of storms that passed through for about 90 minutes....we lost power for a half hour and everything..... Poor Tate is such a scaredy dog ..... I am glad that we were there for him. We actually took him with us to the school when we went to pick Harry up. I was afraid to leave him at home! BTW -- the radio and a great new crate seem to be working to keep him comfortable and contained (on a regular day) -- If only someone could discuss the storm situation with Mother Nature. Anybody in good with her?
Sorry my voodoo license was revoked after spreading my gris gris for rain the week before Katrina...

Yum brownies.... fresh out the oven.... forget dinner, I want the brownies...My grandmother used to give me the little pink animal crackers...

Could someone please make something that is fat free?
You peeked... I made two fat free cheese cakes. Quick and easy... sorry not New York Style but my dad is diabetic and he can eat it.
Simple recipe:
1 pkg 8 oz philly cream cheese (fat free)
1 c sour cream (fat free)
5 pkts of splenda
1 tsp vanilla
mix it well then fold in
1 c. cool whip (fat free or reduced sugar)
put in a crust (premade) I use graham cracker.
If you like cheese cake but don't want the fat or calories...
anyone want to try a piece...
I know recipes belong in another thread but I couldn't help it... I'm old...

A little birdy told me he was tired of taking all the abuse all by his lonesome self. Said I should stop by so the JQ ladies can show the "love" to somebody else. :D

Can you guess who that birdy is?

Do you know how much you have been missed here, dear friend?

What rhymes with Doedoe?

ARGH!! I'm so burnt out on this job!!

Sending you loads of :pixie: to help you get through this... I know what it's like to feel that way, and it doesn't make it easy to go in each day.

I also forgot to tell you how much I loved the pic's of Julia and Emma at the dance recital.

:trio:
They are such sweet girls.... just like their Mom !

Thanks Neighbor!! I always remind Dan to keep me out of the rain so I won't melt... he just roles his eyes and chokes... :D

Aww...I hope Emma feels better soon!
ps. that was my first ever dose of pixie dust...so it's extra potent! If she doesn't have a 98.5 temp in 12hrs...then I don't belong in this "pixie dust" field.

I also have the cell phone next to me all the time, hoping that I'll get THAT call from the potential job asking for a 2nd interview. *crosses fingers* Anyone have any pixie dust for me???!!!

Thanks -- if it works, you're hired!!

Sending some :pixie: right back at you for your interview...

A little birdy told me he was tired of taking all the abuse all by his lonesome self. Said I should stop by so the JQ ladies can show the "love" to somebody else.

Can you guess who that birdy is?
:hi: Alex!! You've been missed -- good to see you back around!! And yes, pogo could use someone else to take a little abuse... or at least dish it out... how's the back doing? Worn any high heels lately?? :D

Sorry my voodoo license was revoked after spreading my gris gris for rain the week before Katrina...

Yipes!! Remind me not to ask you to do a rain dance anytime soon.... :D

so -- how's the night treating everyone? I'm at work, may be heading home at 11pm. I'll check in if I do go... I hope you're all relaxing at home, having a good evening!!

I am lousy at that..and if the good lord ever decides I need glasses you be pretty sure it won't have an option for contacts coming with it.
Ooh, forget contacts. I'm sitting here now winking at the monitor while the last of three different drops absorbs. Should be all done just in time for America's Got Talent.

GOODLUCK BUDDY!!!!! :pixie:

Were those the pink and white frosted animal cookies with sprinkles? Those are amazing. Not sure what it is about them. I think they are called "Circus Animal" Cookies or something. I haven't seen them in a long time. :(

They are made by Keebler and are amazing. I'm sure a store up there has 'em!

Thanks, I'm working on it. (building the courage to go by myself) The other Louisiana gang is going in Nov... did they ask me????

No but WE did. I think once you get the courage to actually do it you'll be so glad you came. I can almost promise you that! We'll take good care of you. :mickey:

I got sick when I got home tonight :sick::sick: It was pretty bad yet random. Thankfully I'm feeling better now.

Do I have to ask a question? I'm too tired to think. Night night everyone.

I'd love to, but I'm not sure... it'll depend on the other family's desires one way or the other and how much "extra" time we've got... they like Disney, but not quite as much as we do...

What a great name for your puppy... what kind is he??

That's amazing... and cute! What do they look like??

So - could you guys send my Emma a little pixie dust? She has a headache, sore throat and 102 fever... :( ... and I've got to get her better by Friday! (and keep the rest of us from getting it, too...) Dan may have to take 1/2 day tomorrow if she's not better, as I've got to work tonight and we've just been too busy for me to call in... plus, I hate for her to miss a day this week, as they're on their last days, and they're only 1/2 days, anyway. So -- a little "healing dust" would be great.... thanks!!

Blythe, he's a 5 month old pure breed yellow lab! He's beautiful and super sweet but, like a puppy, can be a pain from time to time. We're going to do training with him soon. DS named him, we picked him up from the breeder the day after we came home from our last trip.

You guys are going to have sooo much fun in the city!! DD is dying to go to the American Girl Doll store. We very quickly walked past it when we were in the city in Nov she didn't notice it. I figured if we went in we wouldn't make it to Radio City for the show! Next time!

I went to Jekyll and Hyde the night of my prom! It was very cool!

Lots of :pixie: for Emma! I hope she feels better! There's some nasty stuff going around down here! DS has a fever that went up over 104 and he threw up! It looks like he's going to miss is preschool graduation tomorrow! :(

I'm glad he's doing better. My grandfather had parkinson's it so hard. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers!

DS named pluto! He, knock on wood, seem to have remembered today that he's housebroken! Thank god! He had taken to going under the dining room table. Its like a FLOOD!

So, what's tonights activity? a movie? karoke? we could pretend to be Camp Rock!

So.. was that moose wearing camoflauge? Couldn't make him out - he seems to have blended in with the background.

And YES! That is a sign! Pack your bags, do not hesitate.. RUN to the airport and get yourself down to Disney!!!! The pony tail holder has spoken!

Apparently he's a magic moose, only visible to some;)

You are way to funny!

Absolutely....one recon mission to pick up puppies!! That is the COOLEST hidden Mickey. I wish DH would notice those at our house.

I'm pretty lucky, he's as in love with all things Disney as I am.

I thought it was great too, almost blew milk out my nose.

:( The moose pictures didn't work, that little guy must've blended right in... but the ponytail pic is too funny!!

Can I just say "FOR PETE'S SAKE!!"...this day is never going to end. The doctor just came out and is going to have to do an admission and says, "we're going to be here awhile." This is after we had to put a patient in at lunch, etc. ARGH!! I'm so burnt out on this job!!

I'm sorry you had a rough couple of days. Here's some job pixie dust :pixie:

:yay:

OK, so I wrote something for my fellow INTERCOTEES and Bruce said it's not stupid so I've decided to post it. Blame him if it stinks ;) Moderators if this is not a good place for it, I apologize. So here goes. It's kind of like the night before Christmas only... not.

‘Twas the night ‘fore vacation and all through the house
all we could think of was that wonderful mouse.
The kids in their p.j.s and us in our robes
zipped up the suitcases, they’re ready to go.
Our DME tags were put into place
and each of us had a huge smile on our face.
We tucked the kids all snug in their beds
while visions of Nemo swam through their heads.
We went to our own room and turned out the light
but I knew there was no way I’d sleep through the night.
ADRs kept running through my stressed mind
Did I make them all? Did I get the best times?
The anticipation made me giddy and gay
only 10 more hours and we’d be on our way.
I closed my eyes and tried hard to sleep
looking forward to another INTERCOT meet.
The alarm clock rang loudly at 6 in the morning
and the T.V. news said there were blizzard warnings.
So with the fear that our flight would be delayed
we made our way to the airport and silently prayed.
We got boarding passes and went to check in
flight 100 now boarding, let the vacation begin.
We touched down in Orlando just before one
first day of vacation in the land of the sun.
We found DME and boarded the bus
Jeanne was our driver, what wonderful luck!
Port Orleans was such a beautiful sight
I could hardly believe we would be there 9 nights.
After checking in we boarded a boat
off to downtown Disney for a root beer float.
Cast members worked both day and night
to make sure that every dream took flight.
The next several days were filled with such magic,
I could see our last day would seem no less than tragic.
The middle of the trip brought a great surprise
from the castle suite we got to watch the sun rise.
But the greatest joy came near the end
when we got to meet some of our INTERCOT friends.
Some that I’ve talked to forever it seems
and other fresh faces who were new to the scene.
Bright beaming smiles and welcoming faces
wonderful people in the most magical of places.
We all watched the parade then had a quick snack
and made a vow that we all would come back.
The last night of our trip found us packing our bags
with souvenirs, trinkets, even new luggage tags.
Of course the trip and the story must come to an end
but we had incredible magic and met wonderful friends.
So to the INTERCOTEES I’ve met and those yet to come,
I only have one thing to say, You’re number one!

So, do you think I have WAY too much time on my hands? ;)

:stop: your whining...... Your job is what helps you get to WDW and be with us in December. Keep that in mind when you start getting burned out ! You do want to see us in December, don't you ?????? :D

I was getting burned out so I changed from Dec. to October, and with all this talk I want to go in Dec again. I'll be putting in a lot of extra hours the next month, but I don't get overtime, just time off, so my vacation in October will be all my extra hours. Unfortunately, Gilles has to use his vacation time and he won't have any time left for Dec.

A little birdy told me he was tired of taking all the abuse all by his lonesome self. Said I should stop by so the JQ ladies can show the "love" to somebody else. :D

Hey, look who the cat drug in!!! I was beginning to think you couldn't take all the ribbing from me!! Are you going to hang out a little longer or was this just a quick zoop again?

I had a 2 hour workshop tonight on playing the finger cymbals, how soon do you think I'll be driving Gilles crazy? If you don't hear from tomorrow don't worry, after work I have to go to a bellydance party at one of the restaurants here in town. We have performers coming from Toronto and 4 from another town to come and perform for us.

I will do my best to get trip reports up soon gang. And Sarah, I do have a report on 1900 Park Faire dinner for you. I will pm as soon as I can. Be patient with me?

Traci, that was awesome!! I'm going to print it out tomorrow and keep it for our scrapbook... thanks for sharing it with us!!

Well, I'm home for the night... seems my tummy was a bit off, too, so I thought it best to head home for some sleep. Dan said Emma didn't have a fever before bed, but it was only 4hrs post medicine, so we'll see....

I have some sad news about our Calvin... seems we may have to put him to sleep sooner than I'd thought. He's our 14yr old big cat, and he's been having a rough time of it lately. He's diabetic and although that seems reasonably under control, he's been losing the strength in his hips and has been struggling with stairs and sometimes walking in general. He's had a few accidents in the basement of the "#2" variety (sorry if TMI...) but we've handled it and said if it become more frequent, or if he stopped using the litter box altogether, we'd make the call. Well, it seems that the last few days have headed in that direction, so I'm going to call our vet tomorrow and see. :( It makes me so sad... he's been with us since just before we got married, and if you guys remember, we had to put his "brother" down a year and a half ago. He's just always been there, and even though it's been tough sledding with him lately, I can't imagine not having him around. He's talkative and funny and still our big baby, so it's very sad. We'll see what the vet says tomorrow...

Okay, off to bed for me... I'll try to catch up with everyone tomorrow!!

So, do you think I have WAY too much time on my hands? ;)

THAT WAS AWESOME!! I love writing like that too... that was fun to read!! Glad you shared!!

Rough and tumble day as "they" decided we should move offices the last week of fiscal year. Are all of upper management idiots or just most of them?

I will do my best to get trip reports up soon gang. And Sarah, I do have a report on 1900 Park Faire dinner for you. I will pm as soon as I can. Be patient with me?

Just a zoop, I'm too tired for more than that. G'night JQU teachers and students, sleep well.

Hope you have a restful sleep after dealing with all the upper management idiots!!

Boy, are you jabber jaws or what? :D
I'm not EVEN going to try to catch up. I just got home from a 12 hour day, so not much brain power left.

I haven't had anything to eat yet - anyone have any leftovers from dinner?

Well I have 2 salisbury steak patties left and some fresh and delicious greenbeans and some cold ice tea left from dinner... I can heat you a plate...... hope you have a good nights sleep to recharge that brain power!!

Well I am going to the fridge for a caffiene free diet pepsi ... anyone need anything cold to drink??

I hope Emma is feeling lots better by morning.. and you too. So sorry to hear about Calvin... that is so sad!! :pixie: and prayers for your family!!

Apparently my bed wasn't calling me, Bruce is sound asleep and here I am alone at 2:30 in the morning.
:whistle:All by myself, don't wanna be, all by myself anymore.

I can sew most anything, I did my sister's wedding dress, well one out of 5  and I've made a safari jacket... but I have never quilted .. I have always wanted to make a quilt...

I am so jealous of you for that, I can knit, crochet, cross stitch, but I can't sew to save my life. Wanna teach me?

Very cool Traci!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Hoo hah. Maybe even more fun.
Yay :goodbad::plot:

Boy, are you jabber jaws or what?
Most of that is probably me, nobody can ever seem to shut me up

Yes you may..... just add the following into your signature...... Senior Reporter, JQU daily paper, Possumbilities ! :D
Thanks Boss :write:

Traci, that was awesome!! I'm going to print it out tomorrow and keep it for our scrapbook... thanks for sharing it with us!!
Thank you, I'm honored, truly.

I can't get enough writing. A few years ago I wrote and illustrated a Christmas book for my children, this last Christmas I printed 2 copies out on nice paper, laminated the pages, had them spiral bound with a dedication to each of them in the front and gave them to them for Christmas. Can I just say "FOR PETE'S SAKE!!"...this day is never going to end. The doctor just came out and is going to have to do an admission and says, "we're going to be here awhile." This is after we had to put a patient in at lunch, etc. ARGH!! I'm so burnt out on this job!!

I hope this new day treats you much better :D

I have some sad news about our Calvin...

Blythe, I'm so sorry about Calvin  Let us know what you find out. Here's some more pixie dust for Emma :pixie: some for you :pixie: in case your tummy is still "off" and here's an extra large dose for Calvin :pixie: and to help you through whatever happens.

Good morning Friends ! Everybody ready for a new day ???

I was getting burned out so I changed from Dec. to October, and with all this talk I want to go in Dec again. I'll be putting in a lot of extra hours the next month, but I don't get overtime, just time off, so my vacation in October will be all my extra hours. Unfortunately, Gilles has to use his vacation time and he won't have any time left for Dec.
I knew this was going to happen to you when you changed to October ! :(

I hope you can pull off the big switch, from October to December. Good luck.

No - I have LAN access, email and internet, but lost access to numerous critical systems I need. It will be the end of the week before I get it all back.

OK......... does this mean you're gonna be little Miss Grumpy Pants until the end of the week ?? :D

Well, I'm home for the night... seems my tummy was a bit off, too, so I thought it best to head home for some sleep. Dan said Emma didn't have a fever before bed, but it was only 4hrs post medicine, so we'll see....

More :pixie: for Emma and some :pixie: for you too.
I hope everything goes well at the vets.

EWWW the grinding act was GROSS!! but... after the grinding act my sweet daughter Michelle Marie had her adorable face on the t.v. screen saying "America We Have Talent" with her friend Camron!!! I am surprised you all didn't hear the screaming going on here in Maryland!!..... Now I am going to be up until DH gets home because she is on the couch here fighting sleep because she just has to tell Daddy she was famous for 3 seconds!!

That was your daughter ??? How sweet she is. You have a right to be proud ! :D

Hey, a new member. Welcome. Alex, is it?

That gives me an idea. Do we have an official photographer yet in JQU? If not I'd definitely like to apply for the job. You can check out my work on my home page. :D

Good morning Friends ! Everybody ready for a new day ???

I'm ready for the day and the party tonight!!

I can't change it at this point, because I know by October I really need to go away. I can tell with Gilles that he needs to get away also. I'm trying not to get totally stressed out during inventory this year. I say that and I have one person on vacation right now, one more going next week, my assistant manager took an extra day off work this week because her DD had her baby and as soon as I finish with my counting and paperwork she wants to take two weeks off(she also wants to take it off within a week and a half after the physical fabric inventory), then I have a person having surgery the Friday after inventory...can you say stress?

Ahem..... did you forget something, young lady ?

Yeah, yeah! I realized I forgot ?? after I logged off and turned off my computer!

Ya know I tend to be kinda forgetful and I'm also a troublemaker, according to my DH.

Oooh, that's what I want next... well, not next... just when Bailey is a little older and we have a bit more interior room. Our friends have a wonderful yellow lab named Bella, and we took the name of the breeder, as we think she's related to Bailey and has the sweetest personality. :)

Sending some :pixie: back to you for your DS... I hope he's feeling better in the morning!
it with us!!

Well, I'm home for the night... seems my tummy was a bit off, too, so I thought it best to head home for some sleep. Dan said Emma didn't have a fever before bed, but it was only 4hrs post medicine, so we'll see....

Okay, off to bed for me... I'll try to catch up with everyone tomorrow!!

Pluto is sooooo sweet, he's such a love. I had been in contact with the breeder and when he was born we got to see all the puppies at 2 weeks. So tiny! The breeder was great! She knew we wanted a yellow male. There were 2 yellow males in the litter. There were also a few chocolate and a black. I didn't know that all 3 colors could come from the same litter, but thats beside the point. The breeder told me she would try to judge the temprament of the 2 male yellows and give us the one she thought best for a family with small kids. She did a really good job! For awhile he thought Ryan, the baby, was a puppy! It was soooo cute! He's very smart and learns pretty quickly. But, he's like a kid and likes to test his limits from time to time and he has lots of energy! I'll take some up-to-date pictures of him and post them later!

Thanks for the pixie dust! I think we could use all we can get. Johnny is still very sick and now Ryan is sick! Johnny's fever was over 104 last night!

Lots more :pixie: for Emma and also you! Feel better!

I'm so sorry about Calvin, it terrible when a pet gets sick. Lots of :pixie: for him!

So what's on everyone schedule for today? I have about 5 million things to do today and all of them are getting out on the back burner because of the sick kiddos! Oh well, what are ya gonna do? I just hate to see my kids sick! My poor babies! I'd take their sickness in a heartbeat to make them all better!

Good morning, gang!! I'm up and raring to go, having been "given" a day back out of my schedule since I came home last night!!

Unfort., Emma still had a 101.5 fever this morning, so she's home w/ me... doesn't seem to be feeling too badly, but with that fever, I just couldn't send her. I called the school nurse and whatever she's got, it seems to be going around, so the next call is to the pediatrician to see if she might need antibiotics... I don't want to figure out she needs them tomorrow night before we go away!!

but... after the grinding act my sweet daughter Michelle Marie had her adorable face on the t.v. screen saying "America We Have Talent" with her friend Camron!!!

That is so cool!! How did that happen??

If you're a parent, you'll probably take their sickness anyway. DW got a bug off of one of our grandchildren from two weeks ago and wound up with pneumonia.

Sage advice indeed. :D

I'll pm you the recipe! It is sooo yummy! And you can put the fish on his doorstep if you don't mind.. I just don't like dead fish...

Sorry my voodoo license was revoked after spreading my gris gris for rain the week before Katrina...

That's too funny!

You peeked... I made two fat free cheese cakes. Quick and easy... sorry not New York Style but my dad is diabetic and he can eat it.
Simple recipe:
1 pkg 8 oz philly cream cheese (fat free)
1 c sour cream (fat free)
5 pkts of splenda
1 tsp vanilla
mix it well then fold in
1 c. cool whip (fat free or reduced sugar)
put in a crust (premade) I use graham cracker.

YUM! I'll have to make this! Does it turn out 'creamy'? And can you tell it's 'diet'?

Sorry, I've worn contacts since I was 16.. back when they carved them out of glass... I can put anything in my eyes....

ANYTHING??? Is this a statement made from experience???

Wow.. took me all day to answer....
ok... fat free cheesecake for all.....
who wants a piece? (cuz I don't have another question...)

I know.. it took me about an hour to read thru.. and I'll take a piece of that cheesecake! Got some sweet tea to go with it?

So - could you guys send my Emma a little pixie dust? She has a headache, sore throat and 102 fever... and I've got to get her better by Friday! (and keep the rest of us from getting it, too...) So -- a little "healing dust" would be great.... thanks!!

:pixie: hope she feels better quick!

I also have the cell phone next to me all the time, hoping that I'll get THAT call from the potential job asking for a 2nd interview. *crosses fingers* Anyone have any pixie dust for me???!!!

:pixie: Good luck!

Ummm... let's see... Pogo's yard is how big? And we want it to be about 3 inches deep... who has a caluculator?

I cannot believe I read the whole thing! I zooped in here to just "catch up" and 1/2 hour later, I'm still here. So much for zooping!

Alex, so good to see you here! Hope you decide to stay.

I am lousy at that..and if the good lord ever decides I need glasses you be pretty sure it won't have an option for contacts coming with it.

And Jenn don't feel bad about the american girl thing..I didn't know anything about it either. Geesh you'd think we have boys or something.
Contacts are easier for me than eye drops! I got my first pair back when they were hard and when your in your teens, you learn to deal with just about anything for vanity, right?

I have the City wired for boy's activities: the Sony Wonder, the museums, Chelsea Pier, Jekyll and Hyde Club, etc. The girls' stuff I've only seen from a distance.

You peeked... I made two fat free cheese cakes. Quick and easy... sorry not New York Style but my dad is diabetic and he can eat it.
Simple recipe:
1 pkg 8 oz philly cream cheese (fat free)
1 c sour cream (fat free)
5 pkts of splenda
1 tsp vanilla
mix it well then fold in
1 c. cool whip (fat free or reduced sugar)
put in a crust (premade) I use graham cracker.
If you like cheese cake but don't want the fat or calories...
I have a variation on this exact recipe.

1 package FF cream cheese
1 8oz. tub FF Cool Whip
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 packs 100 cal. Oreo wafer cookies
1/3 cup pourable Splenda

Let cream cheese come to room temp then mix c.c. and splenda till smooth. Slowly blend in Cool Whip and vanilla extract.

Line bottom of 9" pan with cookies, save back 4-6. Pour in c.c. mixture. Crunch up remaining cookies and sprinkle on top. Refrigerate 3 1/2 hours before eating.
I subbed the fat-free Cool Whip with light Cool Whip and the fat-free cream cheese with a bar of the new Weight Watchers cream cheese (which is really, really good). It's not Junior's cheesecake but it will do!

Here's some healing :pixie: for the ailing JQ kidlets!

Scott, it does make sense that they're moving now: get out of the old lease before the end of the FY. It's just not good timing for everyone who actually has work to do this week.

Okay, do y'all think it's time for me to finally get to work? Later, :gator:s

Boy, it's quiet in here!!! Is Pogo playing golf again?

I think it's going to be one of those days. They are working on the landscaping and roads in our area now. So this morning the doorbell rings, I grab a blanket to wrap myself up in(I'm still in my pjs) and head down the stairs to answer the door. I ended up falling down the stairs, only to have to move my car. So I head back up the stairs to get dressed and off to move my car. By the time I get back to the house, my hip is killing me. I swear I have a giantic bruise on my bum. I think I won't be going to the party tonight and I'm just going into work today just to my paperwork and head home early.

So - could you guys send my Emma a little pixie dust? She has a headache, sore throat and 102 fever... ... and I've got to get her better by Friday! (:pixie: for Emma.

There's some nasty stuff going around down here! DS has a fever that went up over 104 and he threw up! It looks like he's going to miss is preschool graduation tomorrow! :pixie: for your DS! You can't miss graduation!

I also have the cell phone next to me all the time, hoping that I'll get THAT call from the potential job asking for a 2nd interview. *crosses fingers* Anyone have any pixie dust for me???!!!:pixie: for Greg!! Double dose!

A little birdy told me he was tired of taking all the abuse all by his lonesome self. Said I should stop by so the JQ ladies can show the "love" to somebody else.Hey Buddy! Glad to see you!

Hey, a new member. Welcome. Alex, is it?
What a coincidence, that's what we're going to name our son.Hey!!! You told me you were naming him after MEEEEEE!!!!

And Jenn don't feel bad about the american girl thing..I didn't know anything about it either. Geesh you'd think we have boys or something.Wanna talk about Transformers and Iron Man with me?

Wow.. took me all day to answer.... ok... fat free cheesecake for all.....who wants a piece? (cuz I don't have another question...)Perfect timing....did Sandy make the coffee??

Ooh, forget contacts. I'm sitting here now winking at the monitor while the last of three different drops absorbs. Is it that you don't want to follow my sage advice, or do you not actually see my posts? :eyes:

I have some sad news about our Calvin... seems we may have to put him to sleep sooner than I'd thought. It's horrible when you get to the quality of life discussions about your furbabies. I am thinking of you all.

I have the City wired for boy's activities: the Sony Wonder, the museums, Chelsea Pier, Jekyll and Hyde Club, etc. The girls' stuff I've only seen from a distance.I'm hoping you guys might be available for some time next spring.

Happy Wednesday everyone! Euan finished Nursery School today -- all ready to start Junior Kindergarten in September. (although he will still be going to Nursery School on his off days)..... He's not going to like it on Friday when I tell him that there is no more school for a few weeks!

Well...we leave for Sunny CA one month from today ... and because I am really not that keen on going .... Brian supported my decision to add a 5th day to our Disneyland portion of the holiday. (Happy Jenn means Happy family :D) We're still going to the desert (and the Hoover Dam, 'cause that's where the Transformers went) and Yosemite and Monterrey and San Fran....we just dropped Las Vegas from the agenda. I just really wish we were heading down to WDW instead (silly I know, but the feelings are real).

That's is so cute. Isn't that funny how they have nursery schoo, pre school, junior kindergarten, etc? Used to just be kindergarten and you are with the big kids, period. I love when my best friends little one tells me what she did in "school" and she's three. So Cute!!

How is everyone's day going? Mine is better than yesterday, that's for sure. So the doctor is interviewing the receptionists I picked out. I hope she likes one of them and we can get her in here in a few weeks. I guess we'll see how it goes.

Take care all, I'll check in after lunch

I forget. Didn't you tell me that you lay on the floor and pry your eyelids open with toothpicks then use a hydrauic line to squirt the drops into your eye? Or was that somebody else? :D

Actually, I've learned to look in the mirror (Scary in itself) while I position the dropper at the lower right corner of my eye, then look kind of leftward to make the drop. I'm about to do the third right now.

Hello beautiful people. How is everyones day so far. Mine, not so great. For years we've been trying to get the symptoms of my Ehlers-Danlos under control (pain meds, braces for my joints because they dislocate just from moving, echo cardiograms approved on a regular basis and not needing prior auth for my transfusions.) Well, 2 months ago my insurance co. decides that they are no longer willing to pay for two of my meds so against his will , because I can't afford to pay for them all, the Dr had to change some of them and boy have they been making me sick. I've lost 10 more pounds which is why I'm under 110. Apparently this morning I misjudged the timing for my phenergan so I've been reliving my meals of the last 2 days.:ack: Sorry to complain. We now return to our regularly scheduled topic.

Traci, I love the Night before Vacation!
You will go great as our Newspaper Publisher!

Your talent is showing. You should pursue it and see where it leads.
Thanks for the compliments, I wasn't going to post it, I was totally embarrassed and just jotted it down in about 1/2 hr yesterday. Bruce talked me into posting it.

Not around here. Now set down the glass.... and slowly back away from it.
Officer I swear it's only orange juice. :cop:

That is just too darn cute.
That gives me an idea. Do we have an official photographer yet in JQU? If not I'd definitely like to apply for the job. You can check out my work on my home page.

I think you should apply for a job as the staff photographer for the paper. ;)

Not around here....
Great, I hope the pics of me in the tutu stay lost. :D

That was great! Thanks for sharing!
Keep writing! Go get the Writer's Market book and see what's out there! I write also (just don't have much free time to do it).. I've been working on a 'novel' for a couple years to give to my sister and a friend as a Christmas gift this year... I once interviewed a lady who did the same thing.. she wrote a book for her children.. someone else saw it.. loved it.. convinced her to publish it and she did! It sold in our local book stores!
Thanks for the advice, I write all the time but I usually don't let anybody read my stuff, except those who love me, they have to like it right?

Poor little guy, no more school. Aren't they cute at that age, wanting to go to school every day, even weekends?

Well, I just dropped in for a minute, I'm going to go lay back down. I hope y'all have a great rest of the day.

Traci I hope you feel better soon.

Jenn an extra day does sound good. And I really liked Iron man (aside from an issue with a pair of shoes, a suit handkerchief and a button on a shirt but I digress..that and DH filling up the MISSED calls page in 40 minutes for no good reason)

More coffee anyone? I just made some. Anyone else dislike learning new paperwork? Or is it just me? I guess it's good I'm having to learn it but still..yuck.
