I had heard somewhere that if you go after a certain time that you can get in for half price or a discount price. Has anyone heard of this?
We are checking in on Sunday and would like to go to a park for the 2nd half of the day. Doesn't make sense to pay the full day price for a half day...

If you are staying more than 3 days, it would be MUCH cheaper to add a day to your tickets than trying to get a half-day discount. To add a day to a 3-day ticket would cost $9 + tax; to a 4-day - $3 + tax; to a 5+ day ticket (up to a max of 10 days) $2 + tax.

I haven't heard of any discounts like that at Disney, but with the ticket pricing structure, it is quite possible that a half-day extra in the park might only cost a couple of bucks!

For example, a 6 day base MYW ticket is $217, and day 7 - 10 are only $2 each! So the extra day at the parks is only $2!

I thought I had seen something on Disney's site about half price into Epcot after 4 PM but I'm thinking it was limited to Florida residents.

There is an Epcot After 4 pass but it is only available to Florida Residents and it works similiar to a seasonal pass (just no other parks). I forgot how much it costs.

There are also half day convention tickets that can be arranged but are limited convention participants.

1) Convention tickets *
. . . whole day
. . . after 2:00pm discounted tickets
. . . after 4:00pm discounted tickets
2) Florida Epcot Dining Pass
. . . after 4:00pm Epcot-only pass
3) General Public
. . . no partial day discounts

* Available at resorts for on-site conventions, or at convention site for conventions held at off-site locations. The off-site conventions do not have to be related to Disney, as there are ticket brokers stationed at most off-site Orlando conventions authorized to sell discounted convention tickets.

If you don't have a pass that day and don't want to add it on, I would suggest going to DTD or the boardwalk. Kind of like a park but no admission.

Sorry there isn't a 1/2 day option for you.
