Fantasmic question

I've done the Fantasmic Dinner Package before. But I was wondering if you choose NOT to do the package, how bad the line is, and how long you have to wait.

I'm reading 2 hour waits to watch Fantasmic!!!!

I'm going the second week of December. Anyone know how bad it will be for this show?

I mean...do I absolutely NEED to get the package?

That time of year I've never found it nessesary to have the package..you'll have a wait yes but not 2 hrs. I've never waited longer than a hour.
That time of year, 1st 2 weeks in December, the crowds are lighter resort wide.
I've been going to the resort The 1st 10 days in December since 1984. It's a great time of year!!

We have always walked right up and sat down about 30 - 45 minutes before the show.

Be prepared to do the wave!

We have always gone in the summer and our wait was never over 45 minutes to an hour...I dont think that you would have to wait anywhere near that considering the time of year that you are going...

As bad as this sounds.....I would never wait 2 hours for any attraction or ride.

My mind is at ease now.

Where do you actually go to wait in line. I've only seen Fantasmic one time and I remember having to go to the front of the park for the line for everyone who got the package....but I have no idea where you go if you do not have a package.

If you go on a night where there are two shows, the lines are usually lighter. We are going in early Dec also and when I booked the dinner package on Friday, I asked when the showings were on Sunday 12/14 (6:30 and 8:00)and there were two shows that night. I'm told you can usually walk right in the second show - but don't know that first hand.

The 2nd showing always seems to have lighter crowds since most people with younger children choose the first showing.

We have been the second week of December our last few trips and the line has not been bad. We have shown up 30- 40 minutes prior and gotten good seats.
