Yet another unusual question

I am full of unusual questions this week, between Romeo and Juliet, and the panting cat, here is my next one...

I have a 15 pound Prime Rib in my freezer that I want to cut into steaks...How can I go about cutting it while it's frozen or do I need to unthaw and then cut it?????

Hmmm. This sounds like a question for a professional butcher! Maybe you can call your local grocer and speak to them?

I think you would have to thaw the meat enough to get the knife through it, but I don't know about refreezing. It may cause it to taste funny.

The best solution - Party time! Thaw it out, cut it into 15 steaks and invite 14 friends! :D

Do you have a chainsaw? Seriously, that's what you'd need.

You'll have to thaw it out to cut it. Once it's thawed enough to cut, it's not safe to re-freeze it, so you'll have to use it.
