I think all three shows, though all involving fireworks, are very different experiences and hard to compare. If I had to rank them though, mine would go:

Let's see here...

1. Wishes- State of the art pyrotechnics and music meet Disney legends- Can't beat it for tugging on the ol' heart strings.

2. Fantasmic- Great story line- Great effects. Can be a bit crowded getting in and out, but stil A+++

3. Illuminations- Although my third favorite, it's head and shoulders above anything else(other than the top two). However, it doesn't seem to have the "magic" of the other two. Still, it's wonderful and I wouldn't miss it!

The Inferno barge is the most amazing piece of movable equipment in WDW. If you have not see it perform during the show, please withhold any votes until you do.

And I wonder if I have so much affection for Illuminations because I usually stay at Epcot resorts, and only have a leisurely walk back to my room (out the International Gateway) after the show, so I always have a much more leisurely experience at it.

Wishes is not as epic as the other two, but there is just something very moving about it. I think it has to do with the classic Disney feel that resonates throughout the show. If, however, the holiday finale to Illuminations is included, then it takes the number 1 spot for me.

To me, there is nothing more magical and moving then grabbing some champagne in France, and watching Illuminations. It gets me every time...

I just love the concept of a "global" family...its very touching, and reminds us that we are so much alike.

Wishes........ ya can't beat classic Disney magic with fireworks over Cinderella Castle, no sireeee, a feel-good tear-jerker everytime by Jimminy. :balloon::fworks:

Illuminations........breathtaking ode to World Peace, it jus' feels good folks :thumbsup:

Fantasmic!.........I have only seen this once in 2000 so my memory is foggy as too how spectacular it was/is, it's on the agenda for this trip however;)

2. Wishes, I still rember being carried down Main St. on the shoulder of my father as the fireworks ended, everytime I see it I'm taken back 35 years:mickey:.

3. Iluminations, while this is the most advanced show it doesn't pull on the old heart strings like the other two do:(.
