May 31, 1908 – Veteran actor Don Ameche was born in Kenosha, Wi. His Disney credits include “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey” (as the voice of Shadow) and “The Boatniks” (as Commodore Taylor).
May 31, 1967 – Buddy Baker and 45 musicians record some 47 different pieces of music (that Baker has scored) for Disneyland’s “Adventure Thru Inner Space Mountain” attraction.
May 31, 1971 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired “One Day at Teton Marsh” on NBC-TV.
May 31, 1981 – Disney’s Wonder World aired “Baseball Fever” on NBC-TV.
May 31, 1987 – The Disney Sunday Movie aired “Walt Disney World’s 15th Birthday Celebration” on ABC-TV.
May 31, 1989 – The Disney Channel aired episode 28 of MMC. “Today is Anything Can Happen Day!”
May 31, 1991 – Disney Press published its 1st book, “Walt Disney’s 101 Dalmatians: A counting Book”.
May 31, 1992 – The Disney Channel Premiere TV movie “Still Not Quite Human” aired.
May 31, 1993 – Senior executive and Disney Legend Don Tatum passed away in Los Angeles, Ca. As the first president of Walt Disney World Co., he helped build WDW and develop Epcot.
May 31, 1996 – The Disney/Hollywood Picture Film “Eddie” was released.
