How hard is it to get in?

My in-laws have a time-share that is not a DVC. They can, however, exchange to stay in a DVC. How hard is it to get in? We are going in the fall of 09. (probably late Oct/early Nov.)

It's hard but not impossible. If they have a high quality timeshare they will have a better chance but not that many folks swap out so there are not too many units available to get into.

Put in your request for the trade AT LEAST one year in advance if possible. We made our request 11 months out and found out a couple months later that they had found us something at OKW. It is very hard, but not impossible.

it really just comes down to what you are offering in return....

disneyworld is one of the most popular travel destinations on earth....

if your timeshare is in Maui....you probably stand a good chance....

If it's Myrtle Beach....then not so much
