Disney Cruise + points ?

We cruised in January of this year using points. We had enough pts to cover the whole thing because we went in Jan. We would like to go on another cruise in 2010. We would have the majority of pts but not the whole amt. Can we just pay the difference? Our use yr is Dec. we will only have 266 left from 2009 and then 350 from 2010. We plan on cruising before Dec 2010. Am I correct in thinking that I can not use any pts from 2011?

I believe yes. You can bank (2009) use current (2010) and borrow (2011)

Since you are crusing before you would recieve your 2010 points (in Dec), you should have 2008 points (if you had any to bank), 2009 points (that would be the current year's points), and 2010 points to borrow.

When we booked our 2009 cruise, we used points for DH and me and paid cash for the two DDs.

When using your DVC points to book a DCL cruise, do you have to pay a $75 exchange fee as you do with the Interval International vacations?

How far in advance can you book a cruise using points? I'm am interested in doing this but want to plan far ahead.
