It's on the ground on Mars and has deployed its solar arrays. It's already sent back a few pictures. :party:

It's amazing, isn't it?? My husband and I watched it as well. We're happy it landed safely. Way to go to everyone on land.:thumbsup:

I watched it too tonight - I cant wait to see Mars in HD in my living room! So cool!! It will be interesting to see what Pheonix digs up in the permafrost considering the discoveries we've made here in the ice. I also think its rather amazing it only takes 15 min to transmit over 35 million miles! Amazing!

Congratulation to NASA and all our California locals at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena for a job well done. This is the first time a vehicle has landed on mars on it's "feet" since the Viking missions of the 70's ... No giant air bags this time. A great achievement, and hopefully more great things to come from Phoenix. :alien:
