We are thinking about going next Feb., but are concerned about how late the parks stay open. Do they all close at 7pm in the winter? Do they do the fireworks shows early?

We have only gone during the summer or spring break when the parks are open VERY late. We are not early birds, so this is great for us.

I know schedules won't be released for a long time, but any past history would be appreicated. We want to book before the 7month window opens up for our DVC.

Thanks!!

I can't be 100% certain, but I am pretty sure that the parks all close early during the winter time. It doesn't affect the fireworks shows though, they just have them a bit earlier on in the evening.

Quick answer first. No, they do not all close at 7:00pm. AK closes early because without the sun you really can't see the animals and they tend to close around 5:00pm. The others are all open well after 7:00pm. Epcot will be 9:00pm, and MK will have hours that vary, with Fridays and Saturdays tending to be later. DHS tends to be around 8:30 after Fantasmic. And they still have EMH so there will be an evening EMH for each park.

To know the exact times you would need the published times which come out 6 months in advance (usually). However, you can be sure that there is lots to do after 7:00pm.

Yes, the parks close early in February and they move up the time for the Fireworks but it is posted on the schedule for the parks. It gets dark earlier so they have the fireworks right before the closing of the parks if I remember correctly.
I believe AK even closes before 7:00 some days. They do have some late (9:00 close) on the weekends for some of the parks but I believe you will not find the early close to be a problem. The crowds are light in Feb for the most part (President's weekend an exception) and with good planning you can get in everything you want to do with plenty of time to spare!

Good luck with your planning!
