Our 8-year-old DD has wanted to play hockey since she was 2. :hockey: :puck: She started learning to skate at 4, and has been on a team for the last year.

Last night, her Mites level Spring hockey team won their championship! The score was 5-3, and was actually more one-sided that the score would make it seem.

They had a medal ceremony with all the kids lined up on the blue lines, and the kids from her team got "gold" medals ("Mom, I think there's real gold in them!"). She wore her medal to school today!

We're so excited! :yay: :high5:

Aw, congrats! I definitely have a lot of respect for girls who play ice hockey. You must be so proud. :)

Congrats to your daughter and her team, Tammy. She must have been so proud heading off to school wearing her medal.
