A New Orleans narcotics agent was killed this week. He was driving across a bridge here in NO in the middle of the night. It is still unclear why but the flashing arm to signal the bridge was up was not in the down position and he drove off of the bridge. He had 5 children ages 4 - 19. This is so scary. I can't even began to imagine. This is a bridge I have crossed thousands of times and many times in the middle of the night. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his fellow police officers.

I too have crossed this bridge many of times....

Yes as Lori said even in the middle of the night....

I cant believe that this happened.... and has happend in the past..... The state is looking into it...... They looked into it in the 90s and let it happen again.......

Wow, what a tragedy. And an unnecessary one at that. Shame on whatever authority has dropped the ball on fixing this. Prayers go out to his family... this would be one of the few instances in which I believe the family is entitled to every cent they can get from the city/state.

What bridge was it? I am from Chalmette, so I know the NO area fairly well.
