Does anyone know if this show is ok for a 3 year old? Do the young ones get scared at all?

My 2 year old niece LOVED it. This after we made the mistake of taking her on the Malmstrom first thing. She exited that ride saying, "No more tunnels!" She was apprehensive about going in the theater but as soon as the show started, she was all smiles.

We took my son when he was three and had no problems. It is one of my wife's favorite shows.

We had no problems with my DD when she was 3.5. I never made a big deal about anything with her, so she wouldn't be apprehensive. She even did Snow White without any issues. She was afraid on the very first ride we did, which was Spaceship Earth b/c it was dark, so we bought one of those light up wand things and she did fine after that. We did not do the Haunted Mansion (I figured... what's the point), and now at 7.5 she still doesn't want to.
Enjoy! :mickey:

When our daughter was 3, this was one of her most loved attractions. I can't even guess the number of times we saw this. It is still one of our must do's at DHS. Have fun!

I think we did it 6 or 7 times last year when our daughter was 3. I think 4 of them were right in a row!!

Unless she's really terrified of Ursula, this show should be fine. It's not very long either, just around 17 min or so. It's one of my favorites and I actually enjoy the reactions of the little Princesses around me as much as the show. It's one of the few attractions where I don't mind hearing people talk - as long as it's little girls who are totally in awe of the magic!

Mine was 4 the first time we went and she was ok. From my experience, most kids seem to enjoy it. The only time Ive seen children get frightened is when Ursula comes out. Theres always one in the crowd that gets a little scared and IF its your child - the EXIT lights are well lit and you will have no problem leaving if need be.

It should be fine. It's our favorite show at DHS and even when my sister was little she wanted to do it over and over! Have fun for us!

If they've never seen the Little Mermaid before it might be a little scary at first. But if they have it shouldn't be a problem. Maybe a little loud when Ursula comes out; but for the most part it's really cool.

We took our DD when she was 2 and she loved it and became an avid Little Mermaid fan after seeing it. She thought the entire show was wonderful.

My DD6 was 3 on our first trip and she loved it. I think there is a part where it thunders,if I remember correctly and she didn't like that. But she is scared of thunder at home, so it wasn't a shock to me. I think you will be fine. It a must see for us every trip.:mickey:
