NSSHP costume ideas

We're going to the Not so Scary Halloween Party :party:in September and I need to start working on our costumes. Any ideas for coordinating costmes for a mom, dad, and 4 year old daughter? Any ideas are appreciated!

We are also going in September (9th), I will be Me, DH and DD's (5 and 7). The girls are set on princesses, Not so scary?! DH and I were going to just wear a hat(POTC), or cape, or something small. We are coming from Australia, Packing space is precious when you like to shop!!!:thedolls:

There's lots of fun ideas - I've seen Snow White accompanied by two dwarves, the Santa Claus family on vacation (one of my favorites - they wore touristy clothes all made from Christmas materials and trimmed with fur, Dad wore a big Santa beard, the kids were elves), we're taking my neice dressed as Alice accompanied by Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum.

I wanted our family to go as the Wizard of Oz... there will be at least 8 of us attending MNSSHP on the 16th of Sept. I am just trying to figure out how to make a summer lion and tin man and scarecrow because they will be hot costumes and Sept is very hot still. I might just try to think of something else.

We didn't have a theme for the whole family, but we paired up. We went with another family and my GF and I were Minnie and Daisy (http://flickr.com/photos/66821939@N00/2507015756), DD and DH went as Belle and Beast (http://flickr.com/photos/66821939@N00/2505778168/), and our sons went as (non-Disney themed) the Blues Brothers (http://flickr.com/photos/66821939@N00/2504948669/). As a family (http://flickr.com/photos/66821939@N00/2504949065/), we were mismatched, but we all had fun anyway!

I'm trying to come up with something as well. We'll be doing CRT early (4:20) before the party, so I'd like to do something really neat for all of us to look good in the photo, but DS 3 is already talking about being a cowboy. Maybe leading ladies / men of famous Disney movies??? Is that too loose a theme??? It will be me, DH, DD 9 and DS 3 (and Cindy will be in the photo as well)

I think it would work fine. You'll fit in no matter what you wear. And as for the photos, as long as everyone is in costume, it will loook great. Especially if you have even a "loose" Disney theme.
