Oh my, have you guys seen this? :jaw: I just read about it in People magazine, and decided to look up the website.

Dinner in the Sky (http://www.dinnerinthesky.com/dinner.php)

Eating dinner suspended 50 meters (164 feet) above ground on a table for 22, along with 3 members of a waitstaff? I don't think so! :nope:

So who's up for it?

I guess you're really in trouble if you drop your fork.

I saw one that was completely encased in glass, which looked scary enough. But this one? I think the heart attack I would have would put a slight damper on dinner.

The folks standing below certainly would be...

Mel, I think our "fearless" leader, John, did this very thing sometime this year. Seems like I remember seeing pictures of him at a dining table up in the air.

This would not be something I would ever want to do. Can you imagine the fear generated heartburn that would accompany this meal??

I don't know how I missed that, John.

So what did you think?

OMG Holy Cow, I would never do that. I have a severe case of the fear of heights and falling. They would need an EMT crew up there with me.

:noway::eek: Speaking from someone who has a case of severe fear of heights, NOT ME. I have my meals with two feet on the ground at all times.

If you hurled, would it be a downchuck?

What do you do if you need to use the restroom? Hold it?

Holy buckets, John! That was really adventurous of you to do that! I see that they had safety belts though, which must have been somewhat reassuring. I would also like to know how the waitstaff are able to serve with that set-up.

Sounds awesome! I'd do it in a heartbeat!

Although, I hear it's quite expensive.

Actually, I was just looking at the pics and it really doesnt seem all that high. 50 meters is only like 165 feet so thats like a 16 story bldg - still high but not nearly as scary. I thought it was more like that Richard Branson sbow from a few years back where they were dining on top of air balloons waayyyy up there!

THAT'S why it looked somewhat familiar! LOL

I wouldn't be able to do this, but mostly because I can't usually make it through a meal without having to use the restroom LOL ;)

:faint:

But I would totally do it. I would have to take off my shoes, just like I do on Soarin' ... I have a fear of them falling off!

MNNHFLTX

Yes, I would think the shoes would have to come off, or they would be potential missiles to those on the ground below.
