Hi everyone - I posted this question under the theme park, but thought I'd post it here, too. Has anyone done the charachter dining at the Tusker House in Animal Kingdom? If so, what did you think? I just made breakfast ressies at 8:00am on a Thursday a.m. I love the idea of being in the park before it opens. The ressie lady I spoke with said you couldn't leave the restaurant before 9am since the park doesn't open. I was actually hoping to leave around 8:45 or so and head to EE to get in line. If anyone has done the breakfast early in the am, can you tell me what your experience was like? Thanks!!

I haven't tried Tusker House Restaurant since it was transformed into a table service location, but here (http://www.intercot.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=127728&highlight=tusker+house) is a recent thread with reviews and opinions of both meals.

We did the meal last fall when it was still in Dinoland. We really enjoyed it. I look forward to going to the new location, but I bet it is still a fun atmosphere like the last one. It was great!

We have not been since they moved it, but we went when it was in dinoland and were done 10-15 before park opening we were allowed to go outside the restaurant, but were held be a cast member until rope drop in the immediate area. Nobody was allowed to go over by EE to wait or anything although the day we were there they did come and pick the first family to ride from the crowd waiting outside restaurant.

You will be escorted to EE by a cast member right at park opening, but you will still get there ahead of most guests coming from the front gate, so it's still worth getting the early ADR. We got to ride EE several times before the line got long enough to justify needing a fastpass.

It's like Boma Light. The food’s pretty good and the service is excellent. They did a wonderful job on the décor and the tables aren’t too close together. Donald, Daisy, Mickey, & Goofy attend in their safari outfits. There is also an optional $29.95 picture package. It’s not a very good deal since you don’t get a frame or anything but at least it’s still optional.

We did this in May and it is now one of our must dos. The food was great and the characers were fun. They line you up like little ducks in the morning no matter what time your reservation is and you al walk along together until you get to the resteraunt. Then you check in and wait a few minutes, get your picture taken then are seated. I don't know about leaving before 9:00, but it makes since they had cast members at all the paths as we walked along to keep you on the direct route to the restauraunt. Have fun :mickey:
